For God is more than able in any and every situation.

Begin to incorporate praising God into your day as well. Take praise breaks all throughout your day. Keep in mind each day is a precious gift from the Lord. As a result you make it a priority to be thankful. This also will help you to stay more focused on your goals.

LEARN HOW TO Overcome Bitterness

GOD SAYS REPENT!

God wants to be a part of every area of our life. It is true; “He will never leave nor forsake you!” Neither does He force His way into our lives. It is your choice to invite Him in.

Life becomes a marvelous journey when you allow the Lord to lead you. You really can overcome anything with the Lord. When God is at the helm, you will not let bitterness take root. Your conscious becomes enlightened. As you make happiness your choice you will become happier. Yes, there will still always be trials and tribulations. They are a part of life. But you must learn that; “GREATER IS HE that IS IN YOU than he that is in the world.”

Now is the perfect time to get better and not bitter. This is a great season to begin to refresh your mind and start anew. It’s cleansing and renewal time. Begin to lean and depend on God. Trust Him for better days ahead.

Once you make happiness your goal; it won’t just happen. Be mindful of the many distractions.

How to transform your mind.

Think for a moment. God made the mind. You really cannot transform your mind apart from the Lord. So, who do you think knows best how to heal it? His Word emphatically teaches us; “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  God’s Word truly can renew and cleanse your mind. However, you must learn to sincerely embrace His principles and hold them dear to your heart.

What’s eating You?

Is something bothering you? Do you want to experience the transforming power of God’s Word? Believing, knowing, trusting God, embracing and daily implementing His Word is key. Bitterness, will not be able to stay rooted. If it has it will have to flee. It’s time for some spiritual gardening. Rototill your mind. And then fertilize it with the Word. The results will be; A lighter load and brighter spiritual horizons.

You can be angry and “sin not!”

Ask the Lord to “Create in you a clean heart and renew the right Spirit within you.”  Invite him into you day. As the Holy Spirit within you is activated you are cleansed from the inside out. As a result deliverance emerges. You will begin to think differently. Each day as you invite His infilling presence within you to fill you, you can become transformed from the inside out!

When you desire peace.

God can give you His peace that surpasses the understanding of man.”

This is not a manufactured peace that is displayed just for others. Nor is it overturned by emotional outbreaks. It is a genuine inner contentment that is from the Lord. You become more balanced. The reassurance of His omnipresence brings much comfort. You are inwardly provoked to be inwardly transformed rather than to outwardly conform. You seek the will of God over the will of man.

The Fruit of His Spirit then begins to take root instead. “But the Fruit of HIS SPIRIT is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control!” Galatians 5

Your actions, words, thoughts and emotions can be transformed.

Strive to live a life of peace. This world is on a slippery slope.

God is the God of peace. He can give you peace in the midst of a storm. This is why it is important that you regularly spend time with Him in His Word. Attending Bible Study is also a good idea. Especially if you don’t regularly spend time in the Word on your own. Studying together with your spouse or a friend is also good. But, personally learning how to depend and trust in the Lord should always be a top priority.

What you eat is important

The Word of God is necessary Essential Spiritual Food for your mind, body and soul. You need to partake in eating; “at the table” often. It is just as important as your regular meals. As a matter fact you will begin to eat and enjoy them better as well. Learn moderation and practice self-control. You will learn how to better relate to food. In turn, you will see how what you eat impacts how your body functions. Be mindful of when, what and how you eat. Finding a right balance is key. You want to eat to live rather than live to eat.

Time with your Creator should always be a priority. Get to know God in an up close intimate personal way. Because, His Word is alive and it imparts life. It helps you become a better you! As long as the Lord has us on this side of heaven there is room for improvement. Make way for healthier living. Learn to overcome bitterness.

After all, you are going to live throughout eternity with the Lord? Well, you do not want him to be a stranger whenever you see Him face to face.

So, don’t just read God’s Word for quantity. But to actually partake in spiritual fine dining in order to yield a greater spiritually enriched understanding of who the Lord is. You should strive to learn how to embrace and implement what you are learning within your daily life. Daily nourishing our soul is important. You will become spiritually strengthened and better able to release any bitterness as you actually digest His Word.

GOD REALLY CAN HEAL YOU EVERYWHERE YOU HURT!

We can always and forever count on God to be God. It is absolutely true; “He will never leave nor forsake You!” Learn to trust God. For He truly is the ultimate healer.

You really can overcome anything with the Lord when you make happiness your choice. His joy will be your strength. But you must first believe and know without doubt that; “GREATER IS HE that IS IN YOU than he that is in the world.” There is ” VICTORY in CHRIST JESUS! “

Once you have decided to make happiness your goal; it won’t just happen. Start by setting realistic expectations you can achieve. This will give you a sense of fulfilment. Responsively exercise self-control. It is important to keep focused. Therefore, initially make small goals that you can achieve. This will also help you to build confidence.

This transformation process is lifelong.

Change takes time. In the Lord we are forever growing in His grace. If you are impatient? In the process you can progressively learn how to become patient. This is key in learning to not react impulsively. First remember: As you exercise discipline you get better at it. Second, Don’t make excuses for shortcomings. Take responsibility for your actions. Third, Believe God and His Word. The results; With Christ Jesus as your personal Savior & Lord you will begin to see life differently.

Remember the worm in the apple. And don’t let anyone lay eggs on your blossoms.

Your goal is to now; release any residual bitterness and embrace your happiness. How? Firstly you must yield and submit yourself to the Lord. Secondly you learn to; worry, less and PRAY more. Thirdly, you embrace and implement the truth & principles of God’s Word within your daily life. As a result you become delivered and set free. In the final analysis you actually are becoming a better ” Designer’s Original! “

FAITH IS NOW!

Faith Is Now!

“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1. Faith is so important that it is mentioned over three hundred times in the BIBLE. To believe and have a firm persuasion in God  is what faith is. Having Faith means much more than just to say you believe. It goes so much deeper! Faith is developed through prayer, devotion, and Bible Study. The actual application of God’s Word to your daily life is necessary.

Faith is also part of the Lord’s spiritual armor. It is “By Faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible.” Hebrews 11:3. Faith is NOW not after the fact has materialized! “For we walk by Faith not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7

Men and Women of Faith

When you truly trust God your Faith will see you through any and all circumstances or situations. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Esther and Rahab, are just a few examples of the many that trusted and had Faith in God. Deborah, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets beheld many miracles, faced jeers, were stoned, saw walls fall, led many in victories, were persecuted, misunderstood, and mistreated. Yet they all accomplished their life purpose by trusting the Lord.

Take notice how they all sincerely aspired to live in the presence of the Lord. They had a personal and deep intimate personal relationship with Him. Hebrews commends them all for their Faith; “yet none of them received what had been promised.” It is by Faith we are strengthened inwardly! Jesus Christ dwells in our hearts through Faith.

FAITH is NOW!

Hebrew defines Faith as something you cannot see. “Faith without works is dead.” When your Faith is truly in GOD you trust that in His time He will fulfill whatever it is that He has said or promised. Take a moment to take an open and honest personal inventory of everything that is happening in your life. Guess what God already knows as well. Despite your circumstances; good, bad, or indifferent you can rest assured that your Faith makes all the difference in the world as to how you will now proceed.

In order to successfully run the race of life we must keep our focus upon the Lord. Laying aside any weight or sin helps us to run with endurance. When life hurdles appear God will impart to you His patience and direction. You can not change anything that has happened; “it is what it is.” As you fix your eyes on “Jesus, the Author and perfecter of our Faith” He will help you arise to the challenges as well as the celebrations of life.

Learn to Trust God

Your daily trust and reliance upon God is where your true security and significance should reside. This will give you sure footing and strong solid rock foundational spiritual roots to help you withstand the storms of life. Your joy in the Lord is where you will find strength when you keep your eyes on Him. The joy of the Lord is not contingent on your circumstance. FAITH is NOW!

The key to being a Christian is the Faith we have in Jesus Christ. Do you know the importance of His sacrificial death on the cross that atoned for our sins? It was so we could live life to please Him! Did you know our lives, our homes, our marriages, families and our worship should reflect we are His children? How do we do this? Titus tells us that “You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self controlled, and sound in Faith, love and in endurance. To teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good…”

God and His Church

Know that GOD does not live in a building made by hands.  Although we can come together to worship him and acknowledge Him as GOD.  Our GOD lives within the hearts of the believers all throughout the world who are HIS CHURCH.  We are the ecclesia; meaning called out ones. The natural man or woman does not accept, value, nor understand the things of God. This is why the Word says to “let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 2.  In order to understand the things of God it is crucial that you lay aside your way and your will and let His Word be a “lamp unto your feet and a Light to your path.” Psalm 119.

Having the proper perspective will teach you how very important it is to live life to its fullest and study His Word for His approval and not the approval of man. This is why we are told to “Trust in the Lord will all of our hearts and lean not to our own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our path.” Proverbs 3.

All too often God is an after thought or optional choice when dealing with life. This compromise often has favorable results with man; yet results in moving you away from God. Learn to wait on God and patiently seek His way. He can keep us on the Narrow Path that is less traveled.

Being A Christian is a daily Lifestyle

God’s way will give you peace and contentment that surpasses the understanding of man! God wants to be the Primary Force in your life. Being a Christian is really a chosen daily  lifestyle. God does not force His way upon you. Nor does He manipulate.  Faith produces commitment and faithfulness. You also know the importance of honoring  your marriage vows as well. You made those vows not only to your spouse but to God.   It means to sincerely and earnestly attempt to live life to please God.

Commence to truly daily live,  Pray, Preach, Proclaim, Sing, Worship and Praise Him. It really makes all the difference in the world! “LET the WORD of Christ dwell in You richly as You teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as You sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in Your hearts to God. And whatever You do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving THANKS to God the Father through Him” Colossians 3.

Learn How to Trust God

God always has a better way. According to Ephesians  1 He has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. As His child we have been sealed and promised the gift of His Holy Spirit. God truly is faithful you can always count on Him! Now you must trust Him and step out on Faith. Remember Faith is not something that you can see. Always remember, you must exercise patience and your Faith and trust must rely within Him.

Hebrews teaches us;  “Without Faith it is impossible to please God!”  His Word  tells us if our Faith is; “as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” Matthew 17. The key to this is you must desire His will to be done. It is with God we can do the impossible. This way He receives all the credit. Live: “To GOD be the GLORY!” God always  keeps His promises. You can fully trust God to work everything out for your good.

God is Omniscient

Always keep in mind that absolutely nothing gets by God. He knows all that is past, current and will be.  He is omniscient. Be encouraged knowing “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.”  Know not everyone will be receptive to you.  God always knows the intents of  our hearts. It is by Faith and patience we inherit His promises.

We can patiently endure whatever is necessary because we know that God in His time will work everything out for our good. It is by Faith we accept His precious gift of eternal life. One of the most important elements in life is having Faith in GOD. “Without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he, who comes to GOD, must believe, that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11.

FAITH Keep Looking UP!

FAITH Keep Looking UP!

GOD IS FAITHFUL

In His time you will reap the promises and He will give back, restore, refuel and replenish you in His time. God knows when you are sincere. We are living in interesting times. It is always important to remember we are living in a Spiritual Warzone. But the battle is not ours. Just keep your eyes fixed on the Author and finisher of your Faith. God is able to “keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great Joy!” Jude. You can say Hallelujah anyhow!

GOD IS AWESOME; HE IS ABSOLUTELY; “AWEWONDERFUL!”

As I mentioned before Hebrews records in its “Hall of Faith” many Old Testament heroes who trusted in God and displayed their Faith in unique ways. We today, should also desire to  be honorary members of; “God’s Hall of Faith!”  Lay aside every weight and anything that hinders you from going forth in the Lord. Many seek the approval and acceptance of others.  Know that the Narrow Path is the road less traveled.

Put your trust in GOD!

God never said it would always be easy.  But He did say: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things you  have; for He hath said; I will  never leave nor forsake thee. So, that we may boldly say; THE LORD IS MY HELPER, AND I WILL NOT FEAR WHAT MAN/WOAMN SHALL DO UNTO ME.”  Hebrews 13

As long as we are on this side of Heaven there is more to learn.  God continually perfects us. (which means GOD makes us complete in HIM)  God’s approval is what matters most. He knows when we are faithful to Him. When we keep our vows He knows.   Whatever  we need and when, He also knows.  God is faithful.  When you truly believe; it will be a priority to daily live your life to please GOD! Faith results in faithfulness. Who or what are you faithful to? “Now Faith is the substance of being sure of what we HOPE for and certain of what we do not see. By Faith the Elders obtained a good report!”

FAITH IS NOW!

Getting Your Joy Back Part 4

HALLLELLLUJAH THANK YOU JESUS!!!

You can call upon Jesus 24/7. So if you are going through; You have to learn how to TRUST GOD! Life may try to take everything that you have, but TRUST GOD! It may try to take your health or take the health of your love ones, But TRUST GOD! It  may attempt to divide your home, your marriage and your family and  to uproot your children, But TRUST GOD! The enemy  may even try to take your life, But TRUST GOD! Always remember who you are in the Lord! Praise and thank GOD for a; “Solid Rock Foundation!”

The prince of the power of  the air can not do anymore than God allows. We are living in the midst of an Invisible Spiritual Warzone. Therefore, daily keep your focus upon God! Know this; when you are God’s child know that when its all said and done in the end WE WIN! God did not say it will all be good. But He did say; “ALL things will work together for the GOOD when you LOVE HIM and are called according to HIS purpose.” So come what may;  PRAISE GOD & SAY HALLLELLLUJAH ANYHOW!

Spiritual warfare is all around us

Think about this the enemy wants to steal your JOY! He will use any and everything or anyone who is willing to attempt to do just that. He wants to pull you down emotionally, physically and to lower your standard of living by tempting you to compromise your principles. Praise be to God, for He has given us His Holy Spirit, His Comforter. Our God given principles are some of your most invaluable possessions. They are bestowed to help discipline and empower you. Each day is an opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of God. Through our faith and trust in the Lord we gain access. We never become the power but realize that; “Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world. “

While going through you must open your spiritual eyes and ears. Quite often some of those you have helped will often get selective amnesia. I often wondered where were all those people that Jesus helped when they crucified Him. God always knows. We can always depend on God and His Word. There truly is much spiritual warfare about us. Our world and our country is in trouble. This world is on a “slippery slope!” But our weapons are not carnal. Stay prepared and be alert. Is your armor together? Our true help is only in the Lord.

The Peace of God can sustain you

Know God intimately! Pray daily for His Precious Holy Spirit to fill you with His presence. Then whatever comes your way as it gets too heavy give it to the Lord. Do all you can do, as you give it to Him and then simply STAND! TRUST GOD! Regardless of what happens the enemy can’t take your JOY unless you let him. He will try so do not give it to him.

Allow the peace of God to sustain you. When you know God intimately His Word becomes woven and deeply embedded into the fabric of who you are. “Your WORD have I hidden in my heart so I may not sin against YOU.” Trust His Holy Spirit who will bring it to your remembrance. He will also bring comfort for He is God’s Comforter.

If you have let the shade be pulled down over your life and the enemy has inserted, regrets, depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, compulsive behaviors, addictions, disease, manipulation, and anything else in as your daily companions know that they are not of God. Begin to let it or them go! Reach to the Lord. You do not have to live with regrets. Things can always get better… Call upon Him who is always near. When needed or necessary You can also pray with someone who is on one accord. You have the authority within you through Christ Jesus so use it and shift your focus to the Lord. You will be strengthened as you discipline yourself to praise and daily thank God!

Practice makes Permanent!

God is the Ultimate Father, readily accessible to ALL who call upon Him sincerely and believe and accept His Son Jesus Christ into their heart as their Lord and Savior. Continue or begin implementing His principles within your daily life. Practice makes permanent! His gift to you is His Precious Holy Spirit that nurtures us and is His GIFT that assures us of Eternal life with Him! No one or nobody can change that.

God teaches us the importance of faithfulness and loyalty! It is paramount to always take your commitment to the Lord seriously. There is nothing more important in life. “Whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord.” You can call upon Jesus 24/7!

Don’t try to be like someone else. Be the best you, you can be! Be the Designer’s Original. Everywhere you are God is. So if you have let your JOY go because…. Take it back. “Though you have not seen Him, you LOVE Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious JOY, for you are receiving the goal of your FAITH, the SALVATION of your souls.” I PETER

God is Omnipresent

You can always and forever count on God knowing He is everywhere you are. The question is do you invite His presence? Did you know that it really is true; “ …For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17. To better understand this it is important to daily  begin building your very own ongoing personal relationship with Him.

Just think when something happens; don’t you prefer to talk to someone you know? Always remember; You can call upon Jesus 24/7! So don’t just wait until something happens. God is not far away. He in fact is so close that you do not even have to say a Word for Him to hear you. He even knows your every thought! Our little finite minds cannot really conceive of GOD and all His fullness. “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” But through FAITH we can develop an ever growing TRUST in HIM.

Do You Need Stress Relief ? Part 2

Healthy Ways to relieve stress.

Private and Personal

Are you stressed? It is important to spend some quiet time to unwind. Writing a letter to anyone who has hurt you is good. Get it out. Express exactly however you feel. This validates your feelings. Release any anger and let go of the hurt. This is for your eyes only. Now tear it up in little pieces. Bury it and or simply throw it away!

If necessary do this whenever a past issue resurfaces until you have exhausted your pain. You are learning how to take better control of your emotions.

You can also get an empty chair; imagine that the person is sitting there, and say to whomever has hurt you how you feel. Take control and release any anger, hurt, shame or disappointment! You are now beginning to take out the trash that has begun to weigh you down.

Listen to some relaxing music, exercising, or just taking a walk helps. You now have decided to no longer let what has happened to sit on the shelf of your mind and ferment! You are now beginning to move towards letting it go. This also helps you move towards wholeness.

Family

Whenever your family is stressed? Set aside some quiet time aside from the television or any outside distractions and have a family “pow wow.” Allow those concerned to briefly talk about how they are feeling. Then have them talk about how things can be improved. It is helpful to alternate taking turns having one of the children to be the moderator. You will be surprised. This helps them to acquire leadership and management skills. It is also great family bonding time. Your objective is to create a healthy, loving, open, nurturing, safe environment.

Marriage

Is your marriage stressed? You need to set aside some quiet time where the two of you can calmly discuss what are the issues at hand. Rekindle that love that brought the two of you together. Revisit those marriage vows you made to one another. Restore the JOY of just being together. When two together row a boat it gets to the desired destination faster. Having a weekly date night is great as well! Remember you cannot change what has happened. However, you can decide to go forward. Yes, you will probably have to revisit where you have been. Respect, concern and truth should be welcomed. Keep your focus on your goal to resolve the conflict rather than create more. This time is to remind you of where you do not want to stay or continue to go.

Job or Work Environment

Is your job stressing you out? You need to make an appointment to talk to your supervisor, boss, employees or co workers and let them know how you are feeling. Make sure you are not angry when you do this. Find a neutral spot if possible. Writing down what you want to say will help you stay focused. If you feel that you may lose your thoughts or say something inappropriate reschedule. Graciously delay it until you are ready. The point is you want to take control not loose it. If they are not willing; it may be better to begin looking for employment somewhere else. If you don’t, at some point your health will become affected working continuously under such poor conditions. Your health is more important. You don’t want to spend the majority of your life full of anxiety, depressed or stressed.

Spiritual Renewal

Incorporating prayer and meditating upon the scriptures will yield much inner peace in your life. The WORD of GOD IS ALIVE. it is the only written work where the author is always present. Pray for understanding as you read its marvelous content. Actively implementing the principles are key to resolving inner conflict and stress. The scriptures were meant to point us to a better way of life. To abet developing a personal relationship with God our Creator. God has provided a wonderful plan of salvation for all who are willing to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts as their personal Savior. Jesus is able to save you from the power of sin reigning within your life. Jesus came to show us that better Way! To help you discover your true purpose in life and keep us on the Narrow Path

The “Gift of Life” is priceless. Therefore you want to make and effort to find better ways to cope in the midst of the unexpected. Your home environment should always be a priority. It should be your haven from the world. Invest your time energy and resources in building a safe healthy living environment.

Stress is a normal part of life. Taking the time to communicate your feelings in a healthy manner means you care. When a problem arises; Adopt and embrace “Redemptive Confronting!” Facing whatever the problem is or however you are feeling is always much better for you and those around you. Don’t live in denial. Don’t allow others to pull you from your center. If you aren’t centered get busy learning how to keep more focused. Everyone has a not so good day from time to time. Don’t major in the minors! Just make sure that stress has not become the theme for your everyday lifestyle.

Staying focused and discovering alternate ways to readily relieve any stress is a viable goal.

Life is too short and precious to spend the majority of your time stressed! It is important to begin to work towards having a healthier balance in life. Begin moving towards creating a warm, more peaceful, safe and loving environment. Learning coping skills and ways to manage stress will also result in a healthier outlook as well as becoming healthier spiritually, physically and emotionally.

Learning The Art of “Being Still” Part 3

God wants us to learn the art of “Being Still”dreamstimefree_3428891[1]God is absolutely awesome!  He wants all of us to  receive the precious gift of His Holy Spirit,  who is His Comforter.   Once we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts, His Holy Spirit internally resides within us.  His now abiding Holy Spirit  becomes  our Spiritual Teacher. God is a Spirit of Truth. It is our daily choice to observe, learn, listen and take heed.

Know the benefits of the Blood of Jesus

“How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offer Himself unblemished to GOD, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the LIVING GOD! For this reason Christ is the mediator of a New Covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance-now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from…” HEBREWS 9

There is so much more I cannot tell it all. So  You must begin to diligently seek the Lord for yourself. Spend time daily in His Word.   Taste and see  in His Word for yourself that the Lord is GOOD!   Did you know there truly is cleansing power in “The Blood?”   Take some time and learn to “BE STILL”.

Life is quite interesting. It really can make one ask  at times, “How did we get here?”  To know   one must believe His Word.  You see it is not,  nor has it ever been popular to really “Believe” in God.   The idea is still quite abstract to many.   There are consequences for living as a true believer.  Your spiritual eyes must be open to discern the spiritual warfare that is about you.  His  disciples were, misunderstood, rejected, abandoned,  and  treated horrendously on many occasions.   We as believers are really supposed to be  faithful modern-day disciples.

The masses have always ignored what God has to say,  from Genesis to Revelation.  The scriptures record over and over that man did what was right in his own eyes.”  Or simply went along with whatever was trendy or popular.   When you decide to “stand up” for what is right  many  will sit on the fence……..  It was one of Jesus disciples that betrayed Him.  Have you ever thought about where were all those people Jesus helped, and healed when they crucified Him? Look all around, we are in a crisis.  Look at the scandalous political race for the President of the United States.  The news, the economy, immorality,  the world  at large in which we live has reached  catastrophic   proportions on many levels.   Crisis always brings about a change.   “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof the world and them that dwell therein…” Yet in the midst of it all God has a way of getting our attention and showing us ALL He can use who and whomever He pleases to bring about “CHANGE!”

Throughout His Word you will find spiritual warfare involving, nations, countries, families, relationships,  personality conflicts, false teachers, misunderstandings, manipulation, sexual sins, slander, you name it and it’s there. If you are looking for a case history to profile  or  evaluate it’s there.  God did a  marvelous thing when He allowed man to record His Story. His splendid, spectacular, awe-inspiring Word is the Greatest Story ever recorded.  God’s Word is priceless!  He has also given us the Promise that “He would never leave nor forsake us.”   We can always & forever TRUST GOD!!!

“…Thine is the KINGDOM & The GLORY!”  For LORD YOU are “GLORIOUS!  For YOUR KINGDOM will reign FOREVER!

In life, God genuinely makes all the difference in the world!  Getting to know God helps you  to incredibly  cope with what has gone on, is going on and is to come. It is in HIM that one can rest and find comfort and “BE STILL” even within the most difficult situations.  But I must warn  you it is not always an easy thing to do.  Stay alert!  God is near.

Wherever you are or whatever your situation good or bad know it can change at anytime.  We are living in some very interesting times.  Year in and year out, know that  “Jesus is the reason for the season” whether you are a believer or not!  Know that wherever you are Jesus knows.  You can call on Him 24/7 anytime, anywhere and in every situation.

When you accept Him as your Savior, Lord and Shepherd, He will and can take you through this valley of the shadow of death.  Whenever  necessary He will lead you to the still  peaceful waters.  This is a special place of contentment in His presence.  God wants  to lead us on the righteous path that leads to eternal life with Him.    He gives us the freedom to choose. The peace of God does surpass the understanding of man. Know  some  things will not be understood on this side of Heaven. But always keep in mind absolutely nothing that comes your way gets by Him.  “It is in Him we move and live and have our being.”  God is always speaking we just have to get better at listening. This is why discipline  becomes so very important.

Be encouraged!  We can “do all things through  Christ  that strengthens me.”   But first we must trust Him and surrender our will to Him. Oh taste and see  that the Lord is good.   Today begin your life  to live each day to please the Lord.   His TRUTH is everlasting  throughout all generations and yes; “BE STILL” and know that He is the Great “I AM” who always was, has been and always will be.  He is worthy of  all the praise.  Everyday; “To GOD be the Glory!”

Learning The Art Of “Being Still” Part 2

Part 2

Triune God

There is an art to learning how to be still. More importantly,  know that Almighty God is the majestic  triune God. The Father, Son and His Holy Spirit His Comforter are all one. This world and everything in it belongs to Him. “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in he earth. The Lord of hosts is with us…”  Psalm 46

The  Proverbs  contains a wealth of spiritual wisdom. They candidly informs us that understanding comes from  the Lord. God is omniscient, omnipresent and  omnipotent. Everything you need for life you can discover in the Lord.  Above Him there is no other. HE IS AN AWESOME AWEWONDERFUL GOD!

We must solicit His Holy Spirit to open our understanding.

God’s Word is alive. We should approach His Word humbly and interactively with respect. His Word; is distinctly different. It is outstanding! There is like no other book in the world. The Bible is the only book that the Author is always present. As we navigate through its amazing passages we find it exudes a plethora of spiritual wisdom. It ignites and enlightens our innermost being.

Spiritual Wisdom

Godly understanding is a companion of spiritual wisdom. God does not want us ignorant. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom.” Therefore, humbly and sincerely ask the Lord to open your understanding as you journey through its contents. His Word is marvelously powerful! Be sure to read comprehensively with the intent to glean and apply its intended messages to your daily life. The Lord alone knows exactly what we all need.

The Art Of “Being Still!”

Rest in PEACE

Be Still  Daily Praise Him.

God’s  marvelous Word is not of man’s interpretation.  It requires assistance from His Holy Spirit to open our spiritual  understanding.

Life Presents Challenges

Adorn  yourself daily with  the Armor of God. Whenever  life presents  inevitable  challenges and bombards you on every side His Word helps us to be prepared. If you are not prepared  they will take you under.  Each day take time  to draw even nearer to the Lord and polish up your spiritual armor.  Put into practice  all that you learn.  Be willing  to be attentive, conscientious,  focused and  ready to hear.  Be open to conviction and enthusiastically listen from the deepest depth of your being. It is His Truth that keeps your loins protected and your mind sharp!

God’s Spirit transforms us from the inside out. It is also  in His presence where you  internally re-energize,. You become more aware as your mental telepathy is  tuned in to Him.  Your  inner  peace resonates  and  becomes amplified.  Your God-given joy and  encouragement  is fortified. Remember, grace and peace is multiplied by the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You can hear from God wherever you are

Keep in mind, the Word of God is “Quick and powerful meaning it is alive,  active!  Hebrews  8 tells us that God really will  “put His laws in your minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people…”  You can hear the Lord wherever you are. However you are. You must discipline yourself to learn how to; “Be Still!”  This is not something that man can inhibit unless you allow it.  Keep your focus upon the Lord.  Hebrews also goes on to say that this is  the  “New Covenant…”  It is important to know God’s Word for yourself.  Life was not meant to be an aimlessly ephemeral,   simple transient   excursion.

Christianity is a daily Lifestyle

The people of God  down through the generations have gone  through some things.  This is why Praise and Worship was meant to be a daily lifestyle. Worship keeps us connected to who we are and for whom we were created.    To “lift up Holy  hands,” inside, outside, whenever or wherever.  His Church assembles together large or small, or when “two are three are gathered in My name. I am in the midst…”  It does not take a crowd to praise the Lord!  Jesus should be praised, thanked, edified  and  magnified.  Everyday; “To GOD Be the GLORY!”

His Covenant is a promised  agreement.  In your leisure take the time to see how throughout the lives of His people God was always meant to be their  “Central Theme.”  The  many preparations, numerous  offerings and sacrifices  that were made in the Old Testament were mere reminders of  the sins of the people and the need to be mindful of God and His principles daily.    God always leaves a remnant of His people .  Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior through which all was spoken into existence, who is Holy, sinless, blameless, once and for all sacrificed His life for us so we could live life differently.

Your Body is A Temple

This is why it is vitally important and so relevant  to know Him and what He has done for all  of us!  God  is not a respecter of persons.”  As a believer it is significantly important to know that you have a place with Him. A place specifically meant for you within His body; the Church. Christ Jesus is the Head of His Church.   His Church  is not made by the hands of man. Your body is the Temple where He resides.  His nurturing presence is readily available wherever you are.

His plenteous manna  is accessible for the  ripening  of the Fruit of His Spirit within your life.   Just   know with confidence, no one can separate you from the Lord unless you allow  it. It is your choice.  Seek to  Know the Lord  personally. who He is and what you believe,  put your faith and trust in God.

Make is a priority to spend some time each day with the Lord in His Word.  God wants to make a difference in your life everyday.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

January 7, 2012 by

One of the most Honorable and Praiseworthy qualities admired most about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , was that He was a Diplomatic Ambassador of Peace! Dr. King was a PEACEMAKER, and a strong man of FAITH, INTEGRITY, JUSTICE, BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES and VALUES! In His avid quest to fight for equality and justice he embraced non violence! Dr. Martin Luther King was a Baptist Minister born at noon in his family home on January 15,1929 in Atlanta Georgia. How ironic his Queen Anne style home was in what is known as the magnificent “Sweet Auburn District.” He was an avid and dedicated prominent leader in the “Civil Rights” movement! However it was because of his gallant efforts he was violently assassinated in 1968 at the age of 39. Dr. King fought long and tenaciously for the equal rights for people of Color! He wanted the same rights that were extended to Whites extended to all people! He was especially instrumental in ending legal segregation that plagued African Americans in the South. Dr. King led many powerful and peaceful demonstrations. For his many efforts he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964!

Dr. King came from a ancestral lineage of Baptist Ministers. His father and his grandfather were ministers! They both became pastor’s in succession of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia! He was raised in a very comfortable, loving and stable middle class Christian home! He was a brilliant, well educated and gifted man! He excelled prolifically in his studies and skipped both the (9th) ninth and (12th) twelfth grades! He was admitted to the impressive Morehouse College at the early age of only (15) fifteen years old.

King was aware from a very early age of the obvious discrimination that existed against African Americans. There is an interesting little story of when he was only 6 years of age, his white playmate told him that they could no longer play together since they were now going to segregated schools! Before King’s going off to college, he first went to work on a tobacco farm in Connecticut. It is here he realized that the same discrimination was not apparent that he had experience in the South! He took note of the many activities that both whites, blacks, reds, yellows, browns and all colors shared. Here basically all Colors participated together! They went to worship together they could eat out publicly together, it was an eye opening experience!

King enthusiastically entered Morehouse College and initially his desire was to study medicine and law. However he became impressed with the marvelous oratorical skills of Benjamin Mays an activist, educated and intelligent man who was pursuing equal rights and racial equality! Mays had made and indelible impression upon his father, Martin Luther Sr. The young budding Martin remained impressed as well. He graduated from Morehouse College in 1948! King then attended Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. King early on had a charismatic personality and was elected student body president of the predominately white student body. He eventually earned his Bachelor’s of Divinity in 1951. King then went on to Boston University, it is here he earned a Doctorate! Here in Boston is where he met the love of his life Coretta Scott. She was studying at the New England conservatory of Music. They married in a beautiful lawn ceremony at her family’s home! The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Martin Luther King Sr., his father in 1953. From their beautiful union was born 4 wonderful children!

Of the many protests that was led by King it was the infamous Montgomery Alabama bus boycott that received acclaimed nationwide attention. Here the lovely intelligent Rosa Parks a hard working gentle natured Black woman who was tired after a long honest day at work, as an excellent and skilled seamstress decided not to give up her seat to a white passenger. Mrs. Parks was in turn arrested under the segregation laws. A concerted effort was made by the Activists they strategically planned and implemented a strategic and successful peaceful bus boycott. There were numerous marches and “sit ins”…

It was on his way to support a group of sanitation workers in Memphis,Tennessee that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated! Senator Edward Kennedy chartered a plane to bring Dr. King’s body home to Atlanta! At least (30) thirty buses and (100) one hundred planes were used to bring mourners for his “Homegoing Celebration” Sympathy was poured out from all over the world! The night before King had delivered a most prophetic message! He made this statement: ““I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight that we, as a people, will get to the promised land.” It was the very next day while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel, he was killed by a sniper’s bullet! King’s loyal supporters throughout America were quite upset and 100+ riots ensued in various cities across the country! After much uproar and ongoing media attention! His white assassin James Earl Ray pleaded guilty, was convicted and sentenced to 99 years in prison. He later attempted to recant his confession of guilt and said that he was coerced by his attorneys. Ray held to the stance it was a conspiracy! Dr. King’s family came to his aid and support of Ray’s defense and embraced him. Ray died before he could be acquitted. Coretta Scott King, Dr. King’s widow made this statement upon Ray’s death; “America will never have the benefit of Mr. Ray’s trial, which would have produced new revelations about the assassination…as well as establish the facts concerning Mr. Ray’s innocence.”

Dr. Martin Luther King has been compared and contrasted to some of the greatest! To name a few; George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. The fact remains that he was martyred has further served to keep his memory alive. His legacy lives on in the hearts of many as well as in the history of America’s historical corridors and the world at large. His legacy has a life of its own!

It was after his death that he was accredited with an overwhelming international status. There are roads, highways, buildings, schools and institutions named in his honor throughout the United States. In 1986 he was honored with a national Holiday celebrated on the 3rd Monday in January. In 1991 the Lorraine Hotel where he was assassinated became a Museum. In London they have a sculpture of him over the door to the west front at West Minister Abbey in his honor. Dr. King’s “I Have A Dream” oratorical famous speech is well remembered and often quoted by many universally! Excerpt from this speech: “And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”

Dr. King was a wonderful inspiring man of God whose voice in the midst of the prevalent and tumultuous prejudice harnessing America opened the pathway to equality for all colors! His eloquence, charismatic style, self sacrificing, courageous and arduous commitment will forever be ingrained in the chronicles of America’s History as well as the hearts of many! King lived under the microscope of the Federal Bureau of Investigation the ongoing surveillance was spearheaded under J. Edgar Hoover. Many unfounded allegations were made to undermine his credibility. But none of them could serve to tarnish his incredible, impeccable, accomplishments as a committed man of God and strong ardent peaceful contributions as a Civil Rights Activist. Nor his infamous merited accomplishment of receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo Norway! Upon His acceptance he stated “I accept this award today with an abiding faith in America and an audacious faith in the future of mankind,”said King in his acceptance speech. “I refuse to accept the idea that the ‘isness’ of man’s present nature makes him morally incapable of reaching up for the eternal ‘oughtness’ that forever confronts him.

Indeed there is so much more that could be said about this dedicated man of God; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr… Yet, I close here with another memorable excerpt from “ I Have A Dream!”

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”

Learn How To Overcome Bitterness Part 1

Apple tree

What’s been  eating you?

Is there something that is bothering you? Are you bitter? Something that you can’t talk about?  Has someone hurt you that you can’t forgive? Did someone say something to you that you can’t shake loose? Has someone taken something away from you; or wronged you in some way? Do you crave acceptance? Do you feel rejected? Are you, impatient, frustrated, fed up, and just plain angry? Does the slightest little thing set you off?

What’s eating you now?

Whatever the case don’t let it continue to hold you a prisoner. If you don’t do something about it, you will only allow the seed of bitterness to become rooted and develop deep within. Slowly but surely it will cultivate and grow. Think for a moment the chances are great that whomever has wronged you has probably moved on and not even given the matter a second thought. However you are stuck.

Time to let bitterness it go!

Each time you dwell on whatever it is without letting go, it grows. The longer you hold on to it, it will slowly but surely begin to eat at you from the inside out. Unattended it will cause you to become depressed, physically ill, have much anxiety, depression, panic attacks, cancer, high blood pressure or migraine headaches.  The end of possibilities goes on…

When you allow whatever it is that is bothering you to grow, fester and internally aggravate you, it will eventually make you bitter. It will continue to impact you, your marriage, your friendships as well as your working relationships.

Stop Reacting!

Although you have tucked it away for no one to see. Pushed it to the back of your mind only to silently gnaw away at your joy. As each year passes it is still there. The bitterness surfacing from time to time like a virus. The slightest little thing will trigger it. Someone will be able to push your button like pushing a remote control and set you off! You in turn loose control and impulsively react.

Learn how to responsively respond.

Did you know how the worm gets into the apple?

Did you think it gets in from the outside in? Well it doesn’t. It has scientifically been proven. What happens is an insect actually lays an egg on the apple’s blossom. At some point the egg then hatches within the apple. As it grows, it  eats away the apple and burrows its way to the outside. When you allow bitterness to nest, it like the worm begins to grow and erode the fiber of your being.  It will eat away your happiness. Inside it will grow and tunnel its way out and manifest itself as sin.

TRULY GOD IS GOOD!

How do you stop what’s eating you from eating away at the core of your being? Periodically take a personal inventory. First keep in mind you cannot undo what has been done.  Second, allow whatever bitterness that  has been sitting in the warehouse of your mind, to come to the forefront. As anything resurfaces hold it up to the Light of God’s Word.  Third, Meditate upon the Word of God. For it is a marvelous Library of Essential  Spiritual  Wisdom.

By the way you can read all day long but if you don’t implement it, then its just mere words.

Ask the Lord to help you and to open up your understanding. Begin to acknowledge any ill will or bad feelings you are having. Move towards letting go of the pain by; forgiving the offense, the offender, and forgiving the deed. By the way forgiving does not mean forgetting unless you have amnesia.

What does it mean to forgive?

Forgiving does not mean that you have to overlook what has happened. Christ Jesus forgave those who crucified Him.  “Father forgive them for they know not what they do…” But we must never forget the penalty He paid.  Nor do we have to  continue to allow anyone to crucify us, nor disrespect us!

GOD says; REPENT!

Forgiving  means that you give up the resentment. Resentment means to feel the pain of the action over and over again. When you hold on to the resentment it  turns to bitterness, that only continues to further hurt you.  So, learn to become ” Strong in the Lord! ”   Daily nurture your heart with the WORD of  GOD!

Don’t allow anyone to lay eggs on your blossoms!

God can teach you how to properly guard your heart.  However; You must also surrender your right to get even.    Each day is a day to grow in God’s grace.  Give it, your issues, her, him or them to the Lord!  Life and time is precious. God can handle them all  a lot better than you can…  He says;  “Vengeance is mine I will repay…” Allowing any anger to slowly come to the surface helps you gain self control, you can then rise above it.  Focus and reset!

God’s Holy Spirit; His Comforter is more than able to help you…

MAKING THE BEST OF “NOW”

 colosseum2

Wherever you are  in life it is important to take some time and enjoy the moment.  Regardless of what is happening or not happening you are still here. What is most valuable in life is life itself! Whether you believe it or not, Life is a precious gift from God!   Time belongs to Him.  It is through His Son Jesus Christ everything was Spoken into Existence!  Please if you have any?  Listen with your spiritual ears for a moment.  Let this register in your mind  a moment, please read it again if necessary.  This is powerful!  Listen to what Colossians tells us about JESUS!   “HE is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn over ALL CREATION, For by HIM ALL things, were CREATED; things in HEAVEN and on EARTH, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or powers or  rulers or authorities aALL things were CREATED  by HIM and for HIM…”

Did you know no matter how much you want  to,  you cannot turn back the hands of time?   You can look back, wish things would or could have been different but in reality you can’t go back and undo what has been done.   Letting go does not mean forgetting. You can thumb through photo albums, year books or diaries, spend an afternoon watching personal videos reminiscing on what was, but you cannot go back.  Begin to “Make the Best of NOW!

If  there are a  lot of  past unresolved issues that continue to crop up,  guess what? Looking back momentarily to disengage from the fermenting  stored  up pain or resentment can be healthy.  You cannot change anything that has happened.  But you can change how it continues to hinder  you from moving forward and becoming all that you were meant to be.   Begin letting it go!  Remember the child in you is always present.  It is the part of you that wants its way; now.   The part of  you that says, Hey! I want, I hurt,  I need I, I, I …  But the adult in you has to take responsibility for your  actions and your  well being.  The adult in you has to readily evaluate and say hmmm let me think before I react.   We must learn to patiently respond  rather than just impulsively  react.  Remember you cannot change what has happened but you can change what you do NOW!

Self control is a virtue. It is also a part of God’s Fruit.  We as God’s children need Him daily to help us implement His principles within our lives.  He has given us His Holy Spirit as The Comforter to help us! Rest assured,  He is everywhere we are.  We just have to invite Him in on whatever is happening.  It is easy to just go it on your own and live haphazardly, or let the chips fall where they may?  Nor does it take any discipline.   But is this how it should be?   Sin is anything that separates us from God!  It takes self control to access  His presence.  A simple unuttered prayer will do!  There is POWER in the name of JESUS!

 The Sea

As a child of God we never get to the point that we don’t need Him as Father and Lord!   We are ageless children to Him. Yes things  do happen  sometimes that are beyond our control.  But, we must learn to become responsible self controlled adults living in this world where any and everything goes.  His principles where meant to be our barometer for what is right and wrong.    He wants us to humble ourselves and walk in humility.  He wants us to be a people of  Power who walk in meekness not in our weaknesses.  This is why He says; “ I tell you  the TRUTH, unless we change and  become like little   children, you  we will never enter the Kingdom  of  Heaven.”     John said, “REPENT! For the Kingdom of   Heaven is at hand (near)”   John was not talking about later on, he meant right then and yes, NOW.  The kingdom of God is near and accessible.   HIS WORD tells us, “So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit…”

Do you want to  experience  His Kingdom where there is  Joy and  His Peace which is not contingent on our circumstance?  Kingdom in this sense is not talking about a realm or physical place.  It is talking about letting God rule and reign  in your life NOW!  It’s  about living in His presence NOW.  Remember,  Jesus taught His disciples to pray “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and lead us…”    We need the Fruit of His Spirit daily.  What is that?  “But the FRUIT of  the SPIRIT is , Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control…”

Today really  is a new day.  But His principles have not changed!  It is not like “Ground Hog Day”,  which is this amusing, humorous little movie that I have watched many times.  In this comedy the day happens over  and over for Bill Murray until it gets absolutely ridiculous.  He is the only one that is aware that the day is happening over and over.  The day’s events  become  so very predictable  after he has lived it over and over so many times that he knows what is going to happen before it happens.  The point is in going back it still did not change what had happened.  Therefore we must move forward consciously making a sincere attempt to live life with purpose.      “This is the Day that the LORD has made let us REJOICE and be GLAD in it…”  I then always say  Who but GOD can make a day?

If you look  and study closely  you will see that the disciples went through some things.  It was not always a bed of ease!  But yet,  they depended on Him and yes, they  persevered!   They  continued to move toward God and grow in the Grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ!   It is important to nurture   the child in you.  You cannot give what you do not have.   We therefore ask daily for the continual infilling presence of His precious Holy Spirit!  He is more than able!    God IS  realistically able to fill every void that  we have.  He is the GREAT “I AM”!

You can actually take control by going back to let go of what was or what could have been.  You do not want to live in denial.  It can be somewhat  therapeutic  by looking  back momentarily and reenacting certain scenarios?   This is because you are now deciding to take control and begin  letting go of things and situations that you  could not  or cannot change.  You are  in a sense REPENTING!  You  NOW begin to  move toward  by letting go and letting God’s way take the wheel of your life!

God really is AWESOME!  Don’t limit His ability to be All that He is in your life!  He is so much more  than what our little finite minds can ever conceive.  Remember  from the very Beginning everything was spoken into existence by His Son Jesus Christ!  He truly is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent!  Whatever has happened is happening or will happen God already knows.   This is why it is so important to begin living your life to Please Him.  You will never be able to please any or everybody all the time.  But you can begin walking , talking and living in His Presence.  You can begin “Making the BEST  of  NOW!”
