FAITH IS NOW!

Faith Is Now!
“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1. Faith is so important that it is mentioned over three hundred times in the BIBLE. To believe and have a firm persuasion in God is what faith is. Having Faith means much more than just to say you believe. It goes so much deeper! Faith is developed through prayer, devotion, and Bible Study. The actual application of God’s Word to your daily life is necessary.
Faith is also part of the Lord’s spiritual armor. It is “By Faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible.” Hebrews 11:3. Faith is NOW not after the fact has materialized! “For we walk by Faith not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7
Men and Women of Faith
When you truly trust God your Faith will see you through any and all circumstances or situations. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Esther and Rahab, are just a few examples of the many that trusted and had Faith in God. Deborah, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets beheld many miracles, faced jeers, were stoned, saw walls fall, led many in victories, were persecuted, misunderstood, and mistreated. Yet they all accomplished their life purpose by trusting the Lord.
Take notice how they all sincerely aspired to live in the presence of the Lord. They had a personal and deep intimate personal relationship with Him. Hebrews commends them all for their Faith; “yet none of them received what had been promised.” It is by Faith we are strengthened inwardly! Jesus Christ dwells in our hearts through Faith.
FAITH is NOW!
Hebrew defines Faith as something you cannot see. “Faith without works is dead.” When your Faith is truly in GOD you trust that in His time He will fulfill whatever it is that He has said or promised. Take a moment to take an open and honest personal inventory of everything that is happening in your life. Guess what God already knows as well. Despite your circumstances; good, bad, or indifferent you can rest assured that your Faith makes all the difference in the world as to how you will now proceed.
In order to successfully run the race of life we must keep our focus upon the Lord. Laying aside any weight or sin helps us to run with endurance. When life hurdles appear God will impart to you His patience and direction. You can not change anything that has happened; “it is what it is.” As you fix your eyes on “Jesus, the Author and perfecter of our Faith” He will help you arise to the challenges as well as the celebrations of life.
Learn to Trust God
Your daily trust and reliance upon God is where your true security and significance should reside. This will give you sure footing and strong solid rock foundational spiritual roots to help you withstand the storms of life. Your joy in the Lord is where you will find strength when you keep your eyes on Him. The joy of the Lord is not contingent on your circumstance. FAITH is NOW!
The key to being a Christian is the Faith we have in Jesus Christ. Do you know the importance of His sacrificial death on the cross that atoned for our sins? It was so we could live life to please Him! Did you know our lives, our homes, our marriages, families and our worship should reflect we are His children? How do we do this? Titus tells us that “You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self controlled, and sound in Faith, love and in endurance. To teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good…”
God and His Church
Know that GOD does not live in a building made by hands. Although we can come together to worship him and acknowledge Him as GOD. Our GOD lives within the hearts of the believers all throughout the world who are HIS CHURCH. We are the ecclesia; meaning called out ones. The natural man or woman does not accept, value, nor understand the things of God. This is why the Word says to “let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2. In order to understand the things of God it is crucial that you lay aside your way and your will and let His Word be a “lamp unto your feet and a Light to your path.” Psalm 119.
Having the proper perspective will teach you how very important it is to live life to its fullest and study His Word for His approval and not the approval of man. This is why we are told to “Trust in the Lord will all of our hearts and lean not to our own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our path.” Proverbs 3.
All too often God is an after thought or optional choice when dealing with life. This compromise often has favorable results with man; yet results in moving you away from God. Learn to wait on God and patiently seek His way. He can keep us on the Narrow Path that is less traveled.
Being A Christian is a daily Lifestyle
God’s way will give you peace and contentment that surpasses the understanding of man! God wants to be the Primary Force in your life. Being a Christian is really a chosen daily lifestyle. God does not force His way upon you. Nor does He manipulate. Faith produces commitment and faithfulness. You also know the importance of honoring your marriage vows as well. You made those vows not only to your spouse but to God. It means to sincerely and earnestly attempt to live life to please God.
Commence to truly daily live, Pray, Preach, Proclaim, Sing, Worship and Praise Him. It really makes all the difference in the world! “LET the WORD of Christ dwell in You richly as You teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as You sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in Your hearts to God. And whatever You do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving THANKS to God the Father through Him” Colossians 3.
Learn How to Trust God
God always has a better way. According to Ephesians 1 He has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. As His child we have been sealed and promised the gift of His Holy Spirit. God truly is faithful you can always count on Him! Now you must trust Him and step out on Faith. Remember Faith is not something that you can see. Always remember, you must exercise patience and your Faith and trust must rely within Him.
Hebrews teaches us; “Without Faith it is impossible to please God!” His Word tells us if our Faith is; “as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” Matthew 17. The key to this is you must desire His will to be done. It is with God we can do the impossible. This way He receives all the credit. Live: “To GOD be the GLORY!” God always keeps His promises. You can fully trust God to work everything out for your good.
God is Omniscient
Always keep in mind that absolutely nothing gets by God. He knows all that is past, current and will be. He is omniscient. Be encouraged knowing “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” Know not everyone will be receptive to you. God always knows the intents of our hearts. It is by Faith and patience we inherit His promises.
We can patiently endure whatever is necessary because we know that God in His time will work everything out for our good. It is by Faith we accept His precious gift of eternal life. One of the most important elements in life is having Faith in GOD. “Without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he, who comes to GOD, must believe, that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11.
GOD IS FAITHFUL
In His time you will reap the promises and He will give back, restore, refuel and replenish you in His time. God knows when you are sincere. We are living in interesting times. It is always important to remember we are living in a Spiritual Warzone. But the battle is not ours. Just keep your eyes fixed on the Author and finisher of your Faith. God is able to “keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great Joy!” Jude. You can say Hallelujah anyhow!
GOD IS AWESOME; HE IS ABSOLUTELY; “AWEWONDERFUL!”
As I mentioned before Hebrews records in its “Hall of Faith” many Old Testament heroes who trusted in God and displayed their Faith in unique ways. We today, should also desire to be honorary members of; “God’s Hall of Faith!” Lay aside every weight and anything that hinders you from going forth in the Lord. Many seek the approval and acceptance of others. Know that the Narrow Path is the road less traveled.
Put your trust in GOD!
God never said it would always be easy. But He did say: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things you have; for He hath said; I will never leave nor forsake thee. So, that we may boldly say; THE LORD IS MY HELPER, AND I WILL NOT FEAR WHAT MAN/WOAMN SHALL DO UNTO ME.” Hebrews 13
As long as we are on this side of Heaven there is more to learn. God continually perfects us. (which means GOD makes us complete in HIM) God’s approval is what matters most. He knows when we are faithful to Him. When we keep our vows He knows. Whatever we need and when, He also knows. God is faithful. When you truly believe; it will be a priority to daily live your life to please GOD! Faith results in faithfulness. Who or what are you faithful to? “Now Faith is the substance of being sure of what we HOPE for and certain of what we do not see. By Faith the Elders obtained a good report!”
FAITH IS NOW!
Getting Your Joy Back Part 5

God’s Joy Can Sustain You!
When a trial comes you can still experience God’s Joy! As a matter of fact Isaiah says; “God will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on HIM.” In order for this to be so you must learn to Trust Him. This trust grows as you continuously develop an intimate personal relationship with God. As you begin to think about God as the ultimate Father your possibilities are limitless. This is why it is so important to have the Lord in your life. As you focus upon Him while going through God will then give you His peace to go through the conflict. God is a God of PEACE and JOY!
God really is able to keep you from falling. But if you are on the brink or simply disappointed or even a tad frustrated I think this song speaks in different ways to many. There is always room for improvement in all of us as long as the Lord has us on this side of Heaven. Regardless of where we are in our walk with the Lord, taking a Spiritual Bath in His Word is refreshing and exhilarating. It has marvelous miraculous cleansing power!I think you will be inspired. God can meet you wherever you are.
Let the Lord put a song in your heart
God can meet you wherever you are!
Wherever you are God knows. I know that He can get you wherever you need to be. So, If you are ever down and need a pick me up! PRAY! Then begin to actually put HIS WORD into practice. Praise and worship God consistently and regularly all through the day. I am beyond grateful for the Lord keeping me on the straight and Narrow Path.
God has uniquely designed each one of us. Everyone has a different testimony. But I am sure that there is some elements here in this song that is relatable. There is a song that I want to share with you. If you don’t have the strength ask Him for direction for He knows. The Words here are so profound and I am sure that wherever you are you will find some of the words helpful. This is one of the worship songs from the “Gospel Music Workshop of America”
“I Got My Joy back.”
I got my Joy back. I got a new lease on life. I got my Joy back, down in my soul. Since I let Him have full control. I’ll will let nothing separate me from His Love again. He restored my Joy and revived my soul again! Just like the prodigal son. I found myself in the hog pen. Oh, you know how satan can dress up sin, satan will make wrong seem right. That’s why we’ve got to stay Prayed up, and Focused, and keep looking to the LIGHT!
GOD’S JOY CAN SUSTAIN YOU!
God has been so good to me. I thought I was exempted from trials and tests. From a little child I’ve been abundantly blessed. Every materialistic thing, I wanted, My Mother had it for me there. But I Thank God she NEVER forgot to lead me to the House of Prayer. But when my test came, I stumbled, but I did not fall, I had the Holy Ghost, embedded within me. In God I did REJOICE. That He would lead me, and guide me, when I couldn’t see my way. Yes, He restored my JOY, and He revived my soul again!”
Through Christ Jesus you can do all things
I can truly say; “THE JOY of the LORD IS MY STRENGTH!” I know and realize that without the Lord I/we are nothing but just walking, breathing shaped formed dust. But Praise be to God He tells us through our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus “we can do all things.”
GOD truly can give you; “HIS PEACE that surpasses the understanding of man!” Patience is not a hallmark of our society. Tolerance is, but this is not the same thing as patience. Patience comes from God. “BE STILL & KNOW!” God’s grace is sufficient. Exercise your Faith knowing that; He is more than able in any and every situation. Yes, sometimes we will have to wait; Then like an eagle we can soar high above the clouds! We can always and forever trust God & His Word! Its time to move towards getting your JOY BACK! Remember; GOD IS FAITHFUL & HE ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES!
GOD’S JOY CAN SUSTAIN YOU!!!
True Beauty Comes From Within Part 3
March 26, 2019 by DeBorrah K. Ogans
Filed under Behavioral,Emotional, and Spiritual Health
Your true innate beauty is a marvelous gift from the Lord. It comes forth from a cavernously vast inner depth. Here you are encouraged to live life to the fullest with purpose. God has placed within our souls a void that only He can fill. So, make it a top priority to get to know God intimately. Life with the Lord becomes a wonderful journey. Always strive to be the “Best You with God by your side!” Then whatever comes your way instead of crumbling when adversity arises, life will thrust you to delve deeper in the Lord.

God is utterly amazing. I can never say enough God things about the Lord! He can provide a marvelously blessed sure unshakeable sound “Solid Rock” foundation.
When you have God in your life and a crisis arises you are better able to momentarily journey within and ponder. When you seek him diligently He will reveal your path forward. Always seek the “Will & Way” of the Lord above all others. Be patient, because this requires a walk of faith. Your faith will help you shake off any doubt, anxiety or fear. Trust comes to the forefront. ( Be prayerful and selective from whom you receive your spiritual counsel… ) You won’t have to act happy; because you can be happy. You can also be disappointed at times but this does not become the theme of your life. You assess the situation and are able to bounce back… The LORD will HELP you to become resilient! Your desire to respond properly then naturally emerges. You will then embark upon a quest to rise to the occasion and seek a favorable resolve to persevere. Self-control is a marvelous virtue.
True Beauty goes far beyond the surface. Yes, we can wear beautiful clothes but that does not make us beautiful. It is merely a preferred style of clothing we select to cover our bodies. It’s your choice but be mindful of the message you are sending… Ladies not everyone needs to see your jewels. So be mindful of those low necklines as well as those extra short hemlines. Be mindful how tight you wear your clothes as well. This is true regardless of your size.
What message are you sending in wearing your clothes extra skin tight? Now if you are going deep sea diving of course that is quite appropriate. Of course it is always your choice? Being classy and discrete is far better. As you age do so gracefully… This varies depending on the individual. Classic designs don’t tend to be trendy. There is a vast assortment of fabrics and styles to cover yourself tastefully… That allow you the freedom to express you. In this day and age people wear some of everything everywhere. To be fashionable nowadays some even buy torn up clothes to wear. Go figure? So don’t dress for other people.
Nor should you live for other people. If you really want to truly be happy, live each day to please God. Then you will not so readily jump to conform to everything and everyone. The Word of God is powerful it
Our body is a
Guess what when people talk behind your back? They are talking in front of God! Be willing to stand upon God’s principles regardless as to what they say or don’t say. God does not consult people to determine how He wants to bless us… Always keep in mind who’s you are; we serve and omniscient God. He will show you what to do and what not to do. Listen more to Him and less to them. God is true to His Word. Know without doubt; God always takes care of His own.
True beauty is not worn it cannot be put on nor taken off. It is from this rich place deep inside from which a wellspring comes forth. Here one discovers and retrieves the veiled beauty that has been pre-positioned in one’s soul.
I believe as a woman
Each of us are uniquely created
God has made us tri-dimensionally. We are body, mind
“For you created my inner most being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. ALL the days for me were ordained…” Psalm 139
Yes, there is also a surface beauty that one can see but sometimes you will find that it does not always go very deep. Learn to spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord. Momentarily from time to time deny yourself
Don’t let others control you by remote and push your buttons. Learn to respond
In times like these you do want to be cognizant of what is going on around at all times. Truly we are in the “Last Days” and some of anything and everything is going everywhere. Nothing is no longer sacred to many… You also want to be aware of what is being said to you or around you. Proceed with caution whenever necessary.
The hardest thing for some people to do is be quiet and still. They will often speak without thinking it through. Or purposefully say things to attempt to set you off. They can at times even get physical… This is the case when discipline is not yet embedded into the essence of one’s soul. They have to work harder at learning how to discipline themselves. But praise be to Christ Jesus with HIM; “ALL things are possible!”
I Peter says, that in order for our beauty not to fade away it has to come from our “ inner self, the unfading beauty of a quiet gentle spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” This does not mean one has to become silent or passive, nor a doormat, but rather it is a quite proactive mode. Nor does it mean that as a woman you have to be loud, argumentative and abrasive. Know, that quite often under those tough harsh, hard exterior veneers there is a very fragile soul.
Yes, the Lord wants us to be observant of what is going on around us. HIS WORD teaches us “to observe all things…” But know without doubt; we don’t have to fear when we know HE IS WITH US.
Your true “security & significance” comes from a deep place that yields natural discipline and self-control. It is a gift from the Lord. As long as the Lord has us on this side of Heaven it is to grow. Although we must
Reflected within our lives and upon the countenance of our faces is the hope of assured Victory in Christ Jesus! “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayers…” Occasionally take some time away from everything and look deep within. Seek God’s approval over the approval of others… Your best rewards will always come from Him. God knows absolutely everything about all of us. It is utterly amazing what God will show you. It is important to learn to yield to the will of the Lord. He will never ask us to do anything that goes against His Word! God is infinite our finite minds cannot fully comprehend the depth of His vastness. He truly is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is the Alpha & Omega the Beginning & the End. Above Him is no other. In Him you can discover everything that you will ever need.
Always remember; “it is in Him we live and move and have our being…” WOW!!!
Each day is a precious “Gift” from the Lord! “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you…” Live and strive to become all the Lord has created you to be. God is absolutely “AWEWONDERFUL!” God truly wants to be a part of every area of our lives. Embrace His Word with passion continually pressing onward and upward. God’s Word will make you think spiritually. He is the Sustainer & Giver of life. Seek to live to patiently grow in His grace and thrive knowing that He will never leave nor forsake you.
Life is but a vapor. Time is valuable. So spend less time in foolishness or in regrets. Make spending time with the Lord a priority. Learn to; “… Be in the world but not of the world …” Take a Spiritual bath in His Word regularly. This is how you get clean from the inside out. This way you
Yes indeed, always remember: “True Beauty Comes From Within!”
Book Release: “A HOUSE of PRAYER (Not a Hospital)”
June 2, 2017 by DeBorrah K. Ogans
In this 21st century it is believed by many that the Church is a hospital. It is often said that it is a place for the sick. Does this mean that no one ever gets well?
The Lord did not come to build hospitals. He came to restore us back to the Father and for us to have an abundant life in every way. The House of the Lord is a House of Prayer.
What is your place of worship? Is it a place of worship or a place of hospitality? What is its main objective? Is it a social place where many simply seek to find refuge with those they have much in common? Is it a place where you can come to take part in the activities and have a good time? A place to simply feel comfortable and accepted? A place where you can feel good, but not necessarily become transformed by the renewing of your mind by the Word of God!
THINK and ponder for a moment. Is your place of worship simply a hospital for sinners or a museum for saints? Is it here you can simply remain sick sinners for a lifetime?
The next time you are in an actual hospital look around and see all the hurting people. Take notice and see how crowded it is in the emergency room. How long the lines are, waiting for prescriptions to be filled. How long do you have to wait. Notice the many specialists, doctors, nurses and technicians scurrying about. Yes, it is serious business, how sad so many are ailing. They are all there for a multiplicity of reasons.
All things considered, is this really how you think “A House of Prayer” should really be?
All of these questions and more are addressed in my new book. Pick up a copy and go with me to my Father’s House, “A HOUSE of PRAYER (Not a Hospital).”
Learning The Art of “Being Still” Part 3
November 18, 2016 by DeBorrah K. Ogans
Filed under Behavioral,Emotional, and Spiritual Health
God wants us to learn the art of “Being Still”God is absolutely awesome! He wants all of us to receive the precious gift of His Holy Spirit, who is His Comforter. Once we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts, His Holy Spirit internally resides within us. His now abiding Holy Spirit becomes our Spiritual Teacher. God is a Spirit of Truth. It is our daily choice to observe, learn, listen and take heed.
Know the benefits of the Blood of Jesus
“How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offer Himself unblemished to GOD, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the LIVING GOD! For this reason Christ is the mediator of a New Covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance-now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from…” HEBREWS 9
There is so much more I cannot tell it all. So You must begin to diligently seek the Lord for yourself. Spend time daily in His Word. Taste and see in His Word for yourself that the Lord is GOOD! Did you know there truly is cleansing power in “The Blood?” Take some time and learn to “BE STILL”.
Life is quite interesting. It really can make one ask at times, “How did we get here?” To know one must believe His Word. You see it is not, nor has it ever been popular to really “Believe” in God. The idea is still quite abstract to many. There are consequences for living as a true believer. Your spiritual eyes must be open to discern the spiritual warfare that is about you. His disciples were, misunderstood, rejected, abandoned, and treated horrendously on many occasions. We as believers are really supposed to be faithful modern-day disciples.
The masses have always ignored what God has to say, from Genesis to Revelation. The scriptures record over and over that “man did what was right in his own eyes.” Or simply went along with whatever was trendy or popular. When you decide to “stand up” for what is right many will sit on the fence…….. It was one of Jesus disciples that betrayed Him. Have you ever thought about where were all those people Jesus helped, and healed when they crucified Him? Look all around, we are in a crisis. Look at the scandalous political race for the President of the United States. The news, the economy, immorality, the world at large in which we live has reached catastrophic proportions on many levels. Crisis always brings about a change. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof the world and them that dwell therein…” Yet in the midst of it all God has a way of getting our attention and showing us ALL He can use who and whomever He pleases to bring about “CHANGE!”
Throughout His Word you will find spiritual warfare involving, nations, countries, families, relationships, personality conflicts, false teachers, misunderstandings, manipulation, sexual sins, slander, you name it and it’s there. If you are looking for a case history to profile or evaluate it’s there. God did a marvelous thing when He allowed man to record His Story. His splendid, spectacular, awe-inspiring Word is the Greatest Story ever recorded. God’s Word is priceless! He has also given us the Promise that “He would never leave nor forsake us.” We can always & forever TRUST GOD!!!
“…Thine is the KINGDOM & The GLORY!” For LORD YOU are “GLORIOUS! For YOUR KINGDOM will reign FOREVER!
In life, God genuinely makes all the difference in the world! Getting to know God helps you to incredibly cope with what has gone on, is going on and is to come. It is in HIM that one can rest and find comfort and “BE STILL” even within the most difficult situations. But I must warn you it is not always an easy thing to do. Stay alert! God is near.
Wherever you are or whatever your situation good or bad know it can change at anytime. We are living in some very interesting times. Year in and year out, know that “Jesus is the reason for the season” whether you are a believer or not! Know that wherever you are Jesus knows. You can call on Him 24/7 anytime, anywhere and in every situation.
When you accept Him as your Savior, Lord and Shepherd, He will and can take you through this valley of the shadow of death. Whenever necessary He will lead you to the still peaceful waters. This is a special place of contentment in His presence. God wants to lead us on the righteous path that leads to eternal life with Him. He gives us the freedom to choose. The peace of God does surpass the understanding of man. Know some things will not be understood on this side of Heaven. But always keep in mind absolutely nothing that comes your way gets by Him. “It is in Him we move and live and have our being.” God is always speaking we just have to get better at listening. This is why discipline becomes so very important.
Be encouraged! We can “do all things through Christ that strengthens me.” But first we must trust Him and surrender our will to Him. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. Today begin your life to live each day to please the Lord. His TRUTH is everlasting throughout all generations and yes; “BE STILL” and know that He is the Great “I AM” who always was, has been and always will be. He is worthy of all the praise. Everyday; “To GOD be the Glory!”
Learning The Art Of “Being Still” Part 2

Part 2
Triune God
There is an art to learning how to be still. More importantly, know that Almighty God is the majestic triune God. The Father, Son and His Holy Spirit His Comforter are all one. This world and everything in it belongs to Him. “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in he earth. The Lord of hosts is with us…” Psalm 46
The Proverbs contains a wealth of spiritual wisdom. They candidly informs us that understanding comes from the Lord. God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. Everything you need for life you can discover in the Lord. Above Him there is no other. HE IS AN AWESOME AWEWONDERFUL GOD!
We must solicit His Holy Spirit to open our understanding.
God’s Word is alive. We should approach His Word humbly and interactively with respect. His Word; is distinctly different. It is outstanding! There is like no other book in the world. The Bible is the only book that the Author is always present. As we navigate through its amazing passages we find it exudes a plethora of spiritual wisdom. It ignites and enlightens our innermost being.
Spiritual Wisdom
Godly understanding is a companion of spiritual wisdom. God does not want us ignorant. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom.” Therefore, humbly and sincerely ask the Lord to open your understanding as you journey through its contents. His Word is marvelously powerful! Be sure to read comprehensively with the intent to glean and apply its intended messages to your daily life. The Lord alone knows exactly what we all need.
The Art Of “Being Still!”

Be Still Daily Praise Him.
God’s marvelous Word is not of man’s interpretation. It requires assistance from His Holy Spirit to open our spiritual understanding.
Life Presents Challenges
Adorn yourself daily with the Armor of God. Whenever life presents inevitable challenges and bombards you on every side His Word helps us to be prepared. If you are not prepared they will take you under. Each day take time to draw even nearer to the Lord and polish up your spiritual armor. Put into practice all that you learn. Be willing to be attentive, conscientious, focused and ready to hear. Be open to conviction and enthusiastically listen from the deepest depth of your being. It is His Truth that keeps your loins protected and your mind sharp!
God’s Spirit transforms us from the inside out. It is also in His presence where you internally re-energize,. You become more aware as your mental telepathy is tuned in to Him. Your inner peace resonates and becomes amplified. Your God-given joy and encouragement is fortified. Remember, grace and peace is multiplied by the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
You can hear from God wherever you are
Keep in mind, the Word of God is “Quick and powerful” meaning it is alive, active! Hebrews 8 tells us that God really will “put His laws in your minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people…” You can hear the Lord wherever you are. However you are. You must discipline yourself to learn how to; “Be Still!” This is not something that man can inhibit unless you allow it. Keep your focus upon the Lord. Hebrews also goes on to say that this is the “New Covenant…” It is important to know God’s Word for yourself. Life was not meant to be an aimlessly ephemeral, simple transient excursion.
Christianity is a daily Lifestyle
The people of God down through the generations have gone through some things. This is why Praise and Worship was meant to be a daily lifestyle. Worship keeps us connected to who we are and for whom we were created. To “lift up Holy hands,” inside, outside, whenever or wherever. His Church assembles together large or small, or when “two are three are gathered in My name. I am in the midst…” It does not take a crowd to praise the Lord! Jesus should be praised, thanked, edified and magnified. Everyday; “To GOD Be the GLORY!”
His Covenant is a promised agreement. In your leisure take the time to see how throughout the lives of His people God was always meant to be their “Central Theme.” The many preparations, numerous offerings and sacrifices that were made in the Old Testament were mere reminders of the sins of the people and the need to be mindful of God and His principles daily. God always leaves a remnant of His people . Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior through which all was spoken into existence, who is Holy, sinless, blameless, once and for all sacrificed His life for us so we could live life differently.
Your Body is A Temple
This is why it is vitally important and so relevant to know Him and what He has done for all of us! “God is not a respecter of persons.” As a believer it is significantly important to know that you have a place with Him. A place specifically meant for you within His body; the Church. Christ Jesus is the Head of His Church. His Church is not made by the hands of man. Your body is the Temple where He resides. His nurturing presence is readily available wherever you are.
His plenteous manna is accessible for the ripening of the Fruit of His Spirit within your life. Just know with confidence, no one can separate you from the Lord unless you allow it. It is your choice. Seek to Know the Lord personally. who He is and what you believe, put your faith and trust in God.
Make is a priority to spend some time each day with the Lord in His Word. God wants to make a difference in your life everyday.

Love is an important element of a great marriage. Marriage is the ultimate covenant relationship for a couple to learn how to grow together! It is a sacred union between a husband and wife! You both come together to build a lasting committed bond! When you both are dedicated to the Lord know that there will be a continuing barrage of spiritual warfare launched against your marriage! It often comes from the least expected places… It wants to undermine your credibility, destroy trust, infringe on your union and is designed to get you to respond in a carnal mode that will only divide you.
Disagreeing is a part of any strong marriage! You both are different and do not always see eye to eye. Why is it when you disagree you somehow forget what your spouse means to you! Or somehow you manage to push it in the background! Instead you often pull out the emotional boxing gloves and erect a mental boxing ring and come out punching! Often piercing the heart with deadly emotional punches that crush the soul! Or either you flip the script and make it about you! Bear in mind that there is always exceptions! This is not to point the finger but to put a halt to the staggering overabundance of marriages ending in divorce! To instead encourage you to “welcome love!”
There are those who use the word “Love!” so very loosely! They see love as something that makes them feel good! They feel you love them because you tell them what they want to hear and give them what they want when they want it… This is really not love at all! What you are really dealing with is the neglected “child” in them that has not grown up and always wants its way! They often hold on to “Me ness” instead of embracing “We ness” It becomes clear when you do not agree or tell them “No!”
Please don’t feed this monstrous bad habit! I say habit because it is a pattern that can be changed…! “Practice makes permanent! If not it will eventually manipulate you and everyone around them to appease their seemingly endless need to be cared for! Unresolved emotional issues have all too often become the scapegoat to fuel and appease their desires! On the surface it merely and at times cleverly mimics love in order to have its way! What often happens with someone of this nature; instead of growing beyond their childhood trauma it becomes a blanket excuse for any inappropriate behavior that may be confronted! It will drain you, your emotions, your resources as well as your finances! It is important to have compassion… To avidly seek to understand the deeper need! However, good boundaries are necessary and you must learn how to “guard your heart!”
Love is talked about but impatience, anger, insecurity, irresponsibility and immediate self-gratification are usually the behavior most often displayed… This does not have to be.
They simply justify having whatever it is they want! When you do not comply they feel rejected! They themselves are emotionally starved because they have never really truly experienced true love! They really do not know what love is really all about! Many in our society today confuse love with “lust” or what I call “intoxicating affections” that last for only a season! This is also the reason for a lot of divorces! It is important to begin to address any unresolved issues… In a warm loving, caring environment trust and security can flourish! One can grow beyond their issues!
True love is not selfish! It fills the void properly when sincerely embraced! Love is a part of the Fruit of the Spirit! “God is love!” He is eternal and so is His love! Enlist the principles of true love described in I Corinthians 13! They work! Use this as an effective barometer to measure love over lust, and or intoxicating affections! “Love is patient, love is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in Truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. Love never fails…”
If many truly learn how to love each other there would be a lot less marriages dissolving. Less families being divided and fewer divorces! We would instead see a lot more long term marriages continue to flourish! God never intended for your marriage to grow stale!
Begin to embrace redemptive confrontation and meet head-on in love! Just because it is your spouse you do not have to become “raw…” After so many unkind insults are continually inflicted upon one another it leaves debilitating emotional scars. This means together making a conscientious effort learning to face and embrace constructively resolving any conflict! Learn not to or stop taking one another for granted! This can deplete your marriage of comfort and security! Respect should be intricately woven into your marriage! Your feelings matter…Together you learn to deal with difficult situations as they arise! It is not wise to avoid confrontation, because this can build resentment… Addressing the issues at hand is important as well as healthy! If left undone, quite often the next step is; I’m out of here! On to the next person!
How Important Is Discipline In Your Daily Life ?

Webster defines discipline as a training that corrects. It molds and perfects the mental faculties and moral character. A control gained by enforcing obedience or order. Orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior. To discipline means to train or develop by instruction and exercise; especially in the area of self control. The development of discipline is essential to our overall personal growth and spiritual maturity. One of the fruits of the spirit is self control.
Due to Adam’s sin mankind has inherited a sin-based nature. The appetite to fulfill the desires of the eyes and the lusts of the flesh is quite often first and foremost. The appetite of each individual varies. Your desire could be overeating or under-eating, alcohol, drugs, immoral sexual behavior, lying, envy, idolatry, covetousness, etc. In order to overcome this proclivity towards sin one must continually learn to surrender their yearnings toward self-gratification.
How can we accomplish this? To the believer deliverance from an undisciplined lifestyle is quite attainable. Paul tells us: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:19. The key factor in that verse is the strength has to come from the LORD.
God is quite aware of our shortcomings. Our shortcomings are what alerts us to the fact we need something other than ourselves to overcome our human frailties. God has created us for the purpose of fellowship. We must continuously develop a life in accordance with the instructions He has left in His WORD. The first step to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth and the life: NO man cometh unto the FATHER but by me.” John 14:6. There is no other way to GOD.
Our perspective on life greatly affects how we deal with certain situations. Envision with me if you please a house. Everyday you would pass by this house. After a while you become very familiar with it’s exterior. You then begin to even make assumptions about the house. You eventually come to admire it for it’s surface beauty, but only from an exterior point of view. You’ve seen the front door day after day but you have never stopped and taken the time to knock at the door. You are aware of where the house is; you even think you have a general idea of what it’s like inside. But do you really?
Quite often we develop the same type of relationship with God. We know where His instructions for daily life are found. We have access to the Bible. But how often do we really devote time to actually seek His spiritual direction for our day to day living? We must go beyond the exterior and delve into the WORD and embrace His principles and apply them to our lives consistently. When we embrace His principles we embark upon a life of freedom. This freedom will free you from the appetites of the flesh and the clutches of the world. When you develop an intimate relationship with Him He begins to fill that deep endless void THAT ONLY HE CAN FILL.The Christian life is not an unattainable idealistic lifestyle. When we begin to walk in the Spirit we can overcome the weaknesses of the flesh.
Christians are to live lives that are dependent on God. It is through this spiritual dependency the strongholds that satan has on your life will begin to dissipate. This spiritual walk includes a life of discipline. Remember it is through discipline we are able to harness and control the lusts of the flesh I mentioned earlier. Christ lived, suffered, died and arose from the dead for a reason. He sacrificed His life to redeem us from the curse and endowment of Adam’s sin. It is by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives we can overcome and partake in the victorious life he has prepared for those that truly love Him. “Greater is He that is in you then he that is in the world.” The scripture is not just for memorization to impress others. It is an edible delicacy that will nourish your spirituality and quench your unquenchable thirst as you truly embrace and live out it’s intended principles.
We must seek and learn to discipline our life to His standards. We must begin to relinquish the desire for man’s approval and conditional acceptance. We can never please man. I must warn you! The closer you draw to GOD the less man will understand you. You will be persecuted and greatly misunderstood. Guess what ? So was Jesus! He was maligned and accused of many things by those who should have known better. It was those who were thought to be spiritual that treated Him exceedingly wrong.
Man looks from the outside in; this is the opposite of God’s perspective. He looks from the inside out. He knows all about you. Your innermost thoughts and desires are fully known by Him. The key to a peaceful and contented life filled with true JOY is available. “God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness (appetites of the flesh) we lie, and do not tell the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is light, we have fellowship one with another, and the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN.” How important is discipline? It is very important!
The “Nobody’s Perfect” Club

The “Nobody’s Perfect” Club
The longer I live the more I realize how utterly important it is to develop an intimate personal relationship with the Lord. I am told that when a teller is trained in the banking industry they are taught how to recognize the authenticity of currency. Therefore whenever a counterfeit bill is passed they are able to recognize it.
Things do not always look as they appear.
We live in a real world that is full of systems of deception. Many things have been created to distract us from the genuine purpose of life. As a believer our purpose is or should be to glorify God. Without the Holy Spirit as your navigator you will get towed right along. This deception has further infiltrated His Church. It beckons those who are willing to make excuses for their shortcomings, to excuse self-gratification as a mere attribute to mankind’s imperfections. To immorally satisfy the carnal appetite to all who are willing to submit to the well “Nobody’s Perfect Club.” It teach you although “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof” He doesn’t really know how to bless His children. Because he intends for them to stay dependent on anything and everybody until they leave this world. Although they don’t believe blessings are just material, spiritual growth and development is optional. I warn you this will only enslave you to a life dependent upon sin.
We really miss the point. You see God doesn’t force us to embrace His Word. He allows us to choose. Christianity is supposed to be an everyday lifestyle. Instead many often choose to justify a life were sin abounds. This gives unlimited privileges in the “Nobody’s Perfect Club.”
The “Nobody’s Perfect Club” allows easy access to unlimited excuses. It has a plethora of earthly benefits. You can live any way you want, say anything you want, little or no study required. Listening to an occasional sermon or lecture may be required to help you with attendance kudos. Listening not really required just as long as you say amen when it gets too quiet. Just make sure you do all the social actitivities inside and out side of the Church you enjoy. O by the wall just some any kind of way you are comfortable. Afterall what does it matter since no one is perfect. You may even receive a B.A. (born again) if you don’t rock the boat. That gives you a license to indulge yourself. After all “nobody’s perfect.”
LORD HELP US!
One caution, you may be persecuted or covertly disfellowshipped if you decide to “study to show thyself approved unto God…” Please if you have accepted “Christ as your personal Savior” allow Him to work in your life. Allow Him to activate His Holy Spirit within your daily life. Leet Him make ivaluable spiritual deposits to your eternal account that yields a harvest of blessings. If you have not accepted Him “accept Him NOW.” Ask Him into your life this very moment. It will be a journey like no other. If you have grown slack in your commitment (to His principles activated in your life) recommit!
God created us to live a life pleasing in His sight. Life is not a movie and Church is not a scene. Although it’s full of actors, it’s serious business. God really does know. Please bear with me. You see I have been in church all my life. But I still can’t quite grasp why many really don’t believe. God really does hear all and see all every where in this world He created. If we did it would eliminate a lot of the charades. You see “seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness” will really add all you need in this life. What do you mean? The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew really contains a wealth of knowledge. Jesus discusses a multiplicity of issues. Those same issues are prevalent today.
Keep in mind when you really make up your mind to live for the Lord much spiritual warfare will rise up against you. Much of it comes from those who should know you better. It also comes from “spiritul wickedness in high places” Don’t be alarmed but instead TRUST GOD! You see everyday really is a GIFT from the LORD. NO one can make a day but HIM. Absolutely nothing comes our way that the LORD is not aware of. I assure you that GOD is more than able to keep you! FAITH is the key! It is very important to KNOW GOD & HIS WORD for yourself. “TRUST in the LORD with ALL your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge HIM and HE WILL make your path straight!” Proverbs 3
Personal spiritual training is important. This way whenever or wherever you gather together with the rest of His CHurch you will be better prepared. I recommend spending time in the Word of God daily. Not in a religious wrote way. But seeking to discover the infinite treasure of the Lord’s Spiritual Wisdom. It is the only Living Word given to man. It is “A Lamp unto our feet and a Light unto our Path!” Psalm 119 We are accountable to God for our actions. It is important to know that He will never direct us to do anything that goes against His Word!
We are living in some interesting times when some of everything is going. Nothing is not longer sacred to many. Ask God to daily enlighten you and open your spiritual eyes.
Taking time to develop an ongoing up close and personal relationship with the LORD is the most important thing that you can ever do! “Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth & The Life.” He came to earth to restore us and extinguish the enmity that satan placed between God and man. His Holy Spirit is available 24/7 to help us. The WORD of God contains invaluable instructions. It gives marvelous examples to help us from falling prey to non-biblical half true teachings. It even tells us how “Jesus’ blood can cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God does not have to manipulate anyone. He allows us the freedom to choose. You can live your life however you want. but know that there are consequences for our choices. You can live the way of the world or God’s way.
The majority in the church is you and Jesus. If you don’t stand for Jesus you will fall for anything. His WORD will equip you to know truth from error. His Holy Spirit will sharpen your discernment! Remember that bank currency I talked about. Don’t seek the approval of man over the approval of God. God knows were we are coming from. It is important to take God’s Word seriously. He will equip you to do whatever it is that He has created you to do. Always remember it is a “Walk of Faith”
Jesus stresses the importance of God’s way being the best way. Don’t allow anyone to make withdrawals from your spiritual account. (By the way nobody is perfect! ) Don’t use excuses, rather embrace self discipline. Draw closer to the Lord because you never know what a day may bring. But you can strive for the perfection in the Lord. LIVE TO PLEASE GOD! He wants to manifest and multiply the Fruit of His Spirit within us. He also wants us to be aware and daily grow in His Marvelous Grace! He teaches us in HIS WORD! “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.“ Matthew 5 God would not tell us to do something that He would not Help us to do.
“May He give you the desire of your heart, and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when we re victorious and will lift our banners in the Name of our God.
May the Lord grant all you requests. Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed He answers him from His holy Heaven with the POWER of His Right Hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but WE TRUST in the NAME of the LORD our GOD…” PSALM 20
BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!
Jesus gave His Life so we could live victoriously in Him. The power of His blood yields spiritual dividends for those who call and trust Him as Savior and Lord. O what’s a wonderful Savior? He can help us from the power of sin reigning within our lives. Don’t relinquish spiritual deposits only God can provide, for membership in the “Nobody’s Perfect Club”.
Learning The Art Of “Being Still” Part 1
June 19, 2009 by DeBorrah K. Ogans

Whenever you are amidst spiritual warfare or when a crisis arises, it is important that you seek and learn to “BE STILL.” Being still does not mean that you are unconcerned or oblivious to what is happening. You are not simply just doing nothing. Nor is it a delusional state of unconsciousness rendering being in denial. You are not having erroneous illusions of grandeur. You are not being self-centered. Quite the contrary. You are God centered! Your spiritual awareness is actually heightened. It is a non combative state.
During spiritual warfare or a crisis, usually there is much stress.
People often respond in ways that are counterproductive. One will tend to make hasty decisions and become easily angered. Over indulgence in drugs, alcohol, or some other substance or unfavorable activity is not advised. You may even become passive since there is a lack of coping skills. Instead it really is very important to be responsible. Instead strive to be more attentive.
Be alert to your surroundings as well as those about you. Learn to become flexible and resilient, so you will not get towed along. Being still is a state of mind that helps you remain focused. Staying in a cognizant preferred chosen calm state of tranquility. Not walking in weakness, but making a sincere attempt to submit to a disciplined practice of walking in “meekness.” Here your faith and trust is rooted and grounded in the Lord.
Seek to be led by the Spirit!
It helps sometimes to also keep a sense of humor about you. Just know, a bit of appropriate laughter is a good antidote for the soul. Laughter helps to keep things within a healthy responsive balance. Readily enlist earnestly the opportunity to “pray unceasingly.” To be aware that the often orchestrated situation at hand, really wants you to “act out” or respond in an unseemly, improper or inappropriate carnal manner. Which really only wants to cast you in an unfavorable light to simply mar your testimony.
Take a few moments of personal Worship and Praise!
Having the Lord within your life truly does make all the difference in the world. It is quite splendid. As we grow in His grace we learn to respond or not respond by embracing the Fruit of His Spirit. You care more, but impulsively react less. You instead consciously respond Your desire is to please god increases. Your commitment to Him increases as well. You learn to daily incorporate “Praying without ceasing” into all areas of your life. This conscious state of being keeps you connected to the Lord. You choose to focus on the Lord rather than get pulled away from your center.
Know that there is always spiritual warfare all about us even in the midst of corporate worship!
One must learn to depend and call upon the Lord. This is possible wherever you are. This can be done in an inaudible way, momentarily and meekly inwardly bowing, knowing that your heart becomes an immediate altar. Since we cannot avoid crisis learn to invite God into the messiness about you. It is possible as the Word says; “to be angry and sin not.” Trusting and knowing that God knows your heart and always hears your cries.
Remember Psalm 27; “The Lord is my Light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid…” In His time He can and will deliver you from any and all evil! Ephesians clearly tells us to “Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on your spiritual armor of God so when the evil day comes, you may be able to stand your ground…….” Ephesians 6
The Greek word for crisis is krinein, which means “to decide.” Crisis and spiritual warfare can come at unexpected moments. Usually the decisions that you have to make are life changing. decide to take some time and “BE STILL.” Know that God is always near. See this as an opportunity to put in practice what it means to exercise “patience.” His Blessed Assurance can truly be experienced, once born of His Spirit! Always keeping in mind that God knows and has everything under His complete control really helps.
Your relationship with the Lord is very important
Once you become a child of God it is important to get to know Him. Draw close to Him. Your ongoing up close, personal and intimate relationship with the Lord is more important than anything or anyone! Absolutely nothing or no one can take God’s place in your life He has embedded deep within each of us a place that only He can fill. One must avidly commence to daily seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him we are merely walking breathing shaped formed dust.
God has a plan and purpose for each of our lives. We are to read, ponder, digest, and dwell upon His Word and implement the principles therein. Our desire should be to strive to respond in a way that pleases Him. To know the difference between the “works of the flesh” and the “Fruit of His Spirit” that is discussed in Galatians 5. We need not make excuses for sin but readily repent. Sin separates us from the Lord. His Word truly is meant to be our Life Manual.
It is essentially, imperative to keep in mind that the people, situations and scenarios presented really did happen. He has given us fabulous examples. There is a plethora of wisdom in the Scriptures. So much so to a degree, that it can boggle your mind. This is why it is important that we ask for His promised Comforter to fill us, to illuminate our understanding while journeying through its tasty, appetizing, palatable pages.
