“GOD IS LOVE” & His Love Makes All the difference in the world! Part 1

What makes the difference ?

Having GOD in our lives is what actually makes all the difference in the world. Because HE is Love!

“We rise each morning to thank God for His Eternal Love. His love never ends. We are forever grateful to the Lord for; “… Leading us on the Path of Righteousness for His Namesake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear NO evil for thou are with me. Thy rod and thy staff comfort me…” Psalm 23. Thank You Lord for being: “A Solid Rock Foundation!”

HOLY FATHER YOU are truly; “The GOOD SHEPHERD!”

We are living in a time when some of everything is going on all throughout this world. Our faith in God is what continuously sustains us. And we know that without doubt we can always trust God and His Word. Because we know, each day is an opportunity to draw closer to the Lord. Within His Word is a plethora of spiritual wisdom. As we study His Word the Lord implants it within our hearts and places it in the recesses of our mind. God’s Word is “A Lamp unto our feet and a Light unto our path. ” Psalm 119

Thank You Lord!

I praise and thank the Lord for saving me as a child. I have been a part of His Church all of my life. I honor and worship Him for daily growing me in His grace, love, wisdom and understanding. For continuously shaping and molding me in His image. For freeing me, correcting, directing and protecting me. For it is by HIS grace we are SAVED!

I thank Him for His Holy Spirit; His Comforter that He bestows upon us to lead us to all Truth! We together praise Him for His gift of eternal life. Because of this we are assured a place with Him in Heaven. There is much contentment knowing that GOD is omniscient. He knows absolutely everything about everyone who has ever been created. I know without doubt that nothing, nor no one or no thing can separate me from Him or His everlasting Love.

Truly having the Lord in your life will or can make all the difference in the world.

I am thankful to be married to a dedicated Man of God. He whole heartedly loves the Lord and HIS WORD! Because of this he does not compromise HIS WORD for the approval of man nor the acceptance of others. He firmly stands upon the Word of God. We are thankful for the “Oneness” and the freedom we have been given in the Lord! “…Where the Spirit of the Lord is; there is liberty!” II Corinthians 3 One must not use his or her liberty for a cloak of maliciousness. God teaches us how to firmly “STAND” upon HIS WORD!

Together we share a love for the Lord. We realize that Love is a precious gift from the Lord. It is what keeps us connected to Him. In Him by His grace we have a “Solid Rock Foundation!” Without the Lord life really has no purpose. I want to encourage you to get to know the Lord in a personal intimate way. For in Him you can discover your true purpose in life. It is our desire to live each day to please the Lord. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We have been created to glorify the Lord!

We have been able to with the help of the Lord to preach, proclaim, teach, share, support and send others, as well as ourselves to; “GO YE THEREFORE…” We have learned many invaluable life lessons and continue to do so. GOD allows some people in your life to show you what not to do. Pray for discernment! The Lord is all His Word says He is and so much more. This is why I often say I am thankful for the life we have in the the Lord! We do not take this or one another for granted.

Worship & Praise has always been a part of our lives…

We are forever grateful the Lord has allowed us the opportunity to journey both far & near. We have together experienced many different modes of Worship & Praise in the midst of many different cultures and environments throughout the world. There is a “Blessed Assurance” knowing that we belong to Him and that He is with us everywhere we go. All throughout this world, His creation speaks to our hearts and vociferously proclaims His omnipresence. We all must get better at listening.

We are Thankful!

Each day we are thankful for God’s Love and the Blessings that were spoken over us when we married. We know that it was God’s providence that we were destined to be married. We remain grateful for the Lord’s Blessing upon our union with (5) five adult children, their spouses and (24) twenty-four grandchildren.

Our ever increasing family has allowed us to be even more aware first-hand of the spiritual warfare that persists and is going on within this world. It cloaks itself in so many ways… One must learn to: “Be Still and Know!” This is necessary to be able to detect and discern the things that are not of GOD.

There are many entrapments, pitfalls and strongholds that will attempt to attach to you. Be aware and be wise! They are designed to distract us from daily living in God’s presence. Make spending time alone with the Lord a priority. We as believers are to live each day as though we are expecting our Lord to return. It is absolutely necessary to know the Lord and His Word to be able to navigate through it all and remain on the Narrow Path.

We are blessed to have raised our now adult children within a balanced home of joy, peace & love with minimal contention. We know that life is precious. There was consistency, understanding, fun, structure & discipline. By God’s Grace there is not any doubt in them to whom OUR LORD & SAVIOR CHRIST JESUS IS. This is our greatest legacy. Our chidren grew up knowing we the people are God’s Church and we gather together to Worship & Praise the LORD with others in many different assemblies. We also realize that not everyone believes this…

We need to Pray!

We remain prayerful for this generation, God’s Church and the world at large. We realize that this generation as well as our grandchildren are facing a world that encourages compromising God’s principles by omission and commission. Today, alternative lifestyles are encouraged, supported, welcomed and permitted. This is true inside and outside of God’s Church.

Many of the ways of the world have gradually crept in. Lord have mercy! This also gives me/us the motivation to encourage them as well as others to holdfast to the Lord’ s Word. For this world wants to take you out on a limb that leads to the broad road… Please, know GOD’S WORD for yourself!

The WORD of GOD and the WORD in SONG have been dear to us. They are both effective in delivering the GOSPEL MESSAGE… For years we have traveled many miles back and forth to worship. The Word & Music have always been an integral part of our home lives. Music is a language of its own. It is important to daily Worship & Praise the Lord. For we will forever praise the Lord throughout eternity. The Bible is clear that the Church was inclusive within the homes of the believers for we are His Church. It is important to give GOD his place within our daily lives…

Christianity is a daily lifestyle. There is nothing anywhere in the world or this universe that GOD our Creator is not aware of. This is why it is wise to “Seek ye first His Kingdom and His Righteousness…” Mathew 6 For there is genuine “Security & Significance” & Peace knowing that He is Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent!

For us it has been; “Worldwide Ministry Beyond as well as Inside the Walls!” As long as the Lord has each of us on this side of Heaven it is to continue to grow in His grace, understanding and wisdom. Whenever we fulfill His purpose within our lives; He will call each of us home to transition to life forevermore with Him in Heaven. For this we are eternally grateful. Or we who remain will be “caught up to meet CHRIST JESUS in the air.” Everyone will bear witness to His return. Even those who pierced our LORD will witness HIS glorious spectacular return!

The Call upon our lives.

We are thankful that the LORD has called us as His; Elders/Ministers & Ambassadors. We do not take this lightly. We do not compete with others. And nor do we attempt to make proselytes after ourselves. However, we do proclaim, teach and preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus. We daily live by His Word. It behooves us to daily keep in mind that Christianity is an everyday lifestyle. We therefore encourage all to know Christ Jesus, embrace His Word and the power of His Resurrection!

We have witnessed on occasions how many are quite territorial about their places of worship. Know that there is also much spiritual warfare in and about GOD’S CHURCH. Many feel that the Church belongs to them. This is evident by their actions. For many it is more like a membership club. You have rights and privileges according to your delegated membership status. It is important to know that title to the building does not give you ownership to God’s Church.

GOD does not live in a building made by hands.

It is an honorable thing if you desire to designate a place of worship for the Church and or unbelievers to assemble. He does not require this of everyone… Know, God does hold you accountable for what you allow during worship… But one must also know that God does not live in a building made by the hands of man. GOD has but One Universal Church. His Church consists of a diversity of cultures, and people of all colors and cultures from all throughout the world.

JESUS is not coming into the millions of brick and mortar buildings when He returns. It is important to know that God lives within the hearts of HIS believers who are HIS CHURCH! Yes, Christ Jesus will return for His Church that remains at the appointed time. Many transition to Him daily… However; whenever He returns the entire world will know. For HE will be visible to ALL up in the sky. Even those who pierced Jesus will see Him! For HIS CHURCH those of us who still remain on the earth, will be caught up to meet HIM in the air.

Today, we have so many different denominations, non denominations and assemblies. There is an element of division throughout them because of the various chosen modes of worship. Each vary in their beliefs and practices. This is because of man not GOD! All throughout the Word the Lord gives instructions, rebukes, directions, corrections and encouragement to His Church. God’s true Church is led and given guidance by His Holy Spirit.

“… I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND I WILL BE UNTO THEM A GOD AND THEY SAHLL BE TO ME A PEOPLE: AND THEY SHALL NOT TEACH EVERY MAN HIS NEIGHBOUR, AND EVERY MAN HIS BROTHER SAYING, KNOW THE LORD FOR ALL SHALL KNOW ME, FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST. FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGTEOUSNESS, AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR INIQUITIES WILL I REMEMBER NO MORE…” HEBREWS 8

The New Covenant Sanctuary; “But CHRIST being come A HIGH PRIEST of good to come, by a great and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is to say, not of the building… “ Hebrews 9

“We Need To Pray!”

The Lord gives us the freedom to choose. I often discuss this in detail throughout the many narratives I have written… It is important to know GOD’S WORD for yourself. This way you will not be; “tossed and turned with every wind of doctrine.”

Getting Your Joy Back Part 2

Let the JOY of the LORD be your strength!

GOD’S TRUTH will always prevail!

You cannot change what has been, but you can move forward now seeking God’s Will for your life. You can discover the Perfect Peace that only exists in Him. God says if you seek Him with your whole heart you will find Him. As a matter of fact He is right there wherever you are. He daily gives us the freedom to invite Him into every area and all situations of our lives.

To know the TRUTH you must know GOD and HIS WORD! Do you not know that as a believer your body is the Temple where GOD resides.  His Word is what cleanses us from all unrighteousness. It sustains our souls. His Holy Spirit His Comforter can lead us to all TRUTH!

Today in these “Last Days” this is prime time for the Word of God to be shouted from the roof tops, inside, outside,  on land, by air,  by sea and the internet!  I am grateful that the Lord has allowed us  to “GO Ye Therefore…” in  as well as throughout the world. On many occasions in many different places we have been able to go forth as HIS Elders/Ministers & Ambassadors! GOD’S  WORD was never meant to just be confined to a brick and mortar building anyway. GOD is not coming back for a building. Please don’t misinterpret what I am saying. There is nothing more that I enjoy more than a spirit~ filled Worship Service… There are some beautiful fabulous sanctuaries, cathedrals, temples, worship centers and meeting places for the Church to congregate worship and assemble.

I am truly thankful

I am thankful that the Lord has allowed us to be able to worship Him in many  magnificent man made  places both large, small and mega large… But God never intended that they be full of people who are unhappy, hopeless and full of despair.  There has even been a shift in  the tenor of worship. A lot of it is about what I can get from the Lord. Or all about all of the issues one has experienced. God needs to be adored and exalted about anything that is happening. The Holy Spirit is never unaware of what is happening. God should always be our main focus in worship!  God  never intended for us to just go to church and go right back to another way of life.  Nor did He want us to live legalistically rigid  unhappy lives.

Christianity is a Daily Lifestyle! It is living by actually embracing the principles of God and applying them to your life everyday!

Do You want your JOY back?

We the people are GOD’S CHURCH! “When two are three are gathered together in HIS NAME; HE IS IN THE MIDST!” Matthew 18. GOD wants to be in all areas of all of our lives everyday! NOW through eternity you can live and be in the presence of GOD. This is NOT contingent on how many people are around you. It is your choice to live before HIM as “AN AUDIENCE of ONE!”

Do you really want to get your JOY back? Believe GOD and know and embrace the principles of HIS WORD! When GOD says HE can keep you in PERFECT PEACE; HE CAN!  Daily adorn yourself in the Armor of the Lord.

Christ Jesus came to show us a better way to live. He came to show us that GOD really does want to be the Center of our daily lives.  He intended for His Church to be an international universal family of believers  from all walks of life embracing and  daily living out loud His Living Word!  Jesus came to fulfill the law.   He sacrificed His life so we could be free. FREE to WORSHIP HIM! “In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!” To Praise Him everyday through whatever trials, tests, obstacles, distractions or land mines the enemy tries to put in your path.

CHRIST JESUS is the effulgence of GOD’S GLORY:

We live in a spiritual warzone. Why is that? For a season the earth is where the prince of the power of the air throne is. Who is that? “The prince of the power of the air” =  this refers to the devil as the leader of superhuman powers which, according to a widely held notion at this time, dwells in the earth’s atmosphere.”  (he is not in a pit) Know that he is also an imposter that lives to seduce many… No need to worry but to just be more cognizant of the things that are not of God!

CHRIST JESUS IS; The Head of HIS Church!

And He is the Head of the Body, the Church; He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that He Himself might have first place in all things. For in Him all the fullness was pleased to dwell and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the Blood of His Cross ~ through Him, whether the ‘things on the earth or the things in the Heavens…” Colossians 1

“Who is the image of the invisible God the First Born of all creation, Because of Him all things were created, in the Heavens and on the earth, the visible and invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him. And is before all things, and all things cohere to Him.

Thank You Holy Father for Your Living Word which is our Daily Bread!

KNOW THIS; ONLY GOD IS OMNIPOTENT there is no greater power than HE THE FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT! They are ALL ONE and same TRIUNE GOD. They are universally known as the HOLY TRINITY!

If you really want to know more draw closer to the Lord. Therefore, daily spend some time in His Word and give God His place within your life, home and heart: BLESS WORSHIP & PRAISE GOD &  “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!”

I am Thankful for my Pastor Husband; the Father of our Children!

I am truly thankful for my Husband. He has been wonderful. We have shared many marvelous memories. The Lord has knitted our hearts together in His Love. I daily thank & praise His Holy Name for HIS Everlasting Love is priceless.

TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN THE HEART

TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN THE HEART

A Great Father &  Wonderful Man of God!

My husband has been a marvelous father. He respectfully nurtured and engaged our children as they were growing up. We worked harmoniously together.  He has been a great role model. I am thankful that by the grace of God we raised our children in a great home environment.

I can truly say; GOD has been GOOD to me all of my life! I thank Him for HE has BLESSED me/us in ways that I cannot express in words.

The Lord has also brought us through much spiritual warfare. He has taught us invaluable Life Wisdom Lessons. Hold your peace because; “GOD WILL FIGHT YOUR BATTLES.” Daily He continues to grow us in HIS Grace Wisdom & Knowledge as we walk in the TRUTH of HIS WORD! We can always think of something to be thankful for. Regardless of what happens the Lord has taught us when you LOVE HIM; “ALL things work together for the GOOD!” “Where the SPIRIT of the LORD is there is LIBERTY.” II Corinthians 3

“GOD WILL take care of you!” I praise and thank the Lord for the liberty that we have found in HIM. I know that it is only by His grace that HE has instilled within us to know without doubt that HE always has our best interest at heart. “I once was young but now I am old, yet, I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37

GOD has thankfully allowed us to: “GO ye therefore into the world…”

I am grateful to know that the Lord is omnipresent & I have “BLESSED ASSURANCE” knowing that everywhere I/we are HE is there. The Lord has allowed us together to see and visit much of this amazing world that was spoken into existence through JESUS CHRIST. There is still so much more to learn & see. One should be ever mindful that everywhere you are GOD is there. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. The world and them that dwell therein.” Psalm 24 I am thankful for the Lord allowing us to feel and experience His presence wherever we go.

We can always TRUST the LORD. HIS WORD teaches us; “BLESSED be the GOD & FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, who has BLESSED us with every SPIRITUAL BLESSING in the Heavenly places in CHRIST.” Ephesians 1 In the Lord you can discover everything that you will ever need for Life & Living & Eternal life. For this I am eternally thankful. We have learned that “true beauty comes from within.

~ Personal Tribute ~

Give honor where honor is due. I thank the Lord for the many GIFTS & TALENTS that He has given to my husband/Pastor the father of our children. (As well as the many gifts that are inclusive of our family at large.) He has been and outstanding husband & father. He has been loving, strong, patient, firm, protective, at times unyielding and yet kind with our children.

He as an Elder can preach, proclaim, teach  and diligently stand upon the Word of God. He is unique in his delivery. Yet, he also embraces what he speaks and teaches. He is cognizant of the responsibility to reach those he is speaking to as he spiritually feeds and ministers to them the Word of God. He patiently and aggressively  is mindful to leave them with a desire to want to know more about the Lord as  the Holy Spirit  ministers to their souls.

He is a marvelous skilled Master Minister of Music. He has also seriously and  patiently directed and ministered to many choirs.  He has  taught them the importance of  “harmonic blending”   to the degree you can hear a melodic ring when the harmony is on point. Whenever they learn a song they know who and what they are singing about.  This is not for show but to put forth an effort to always  magnify our Lord in a grand way.  For God deserves our best. And He always deserves our sincere praise!

He can skillfully play any genre of music from Gospel to Classical Jazz and make the plethora of crafted key boards dance their own melodic tune. He is not at all boastful about His God given talent. His goal has always been to “GLORIFY our LORD!”

“THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!”

“Your Gift will make room for you…” Proverbs 18 ~

He has also excelled in the world of technology. He is an astute business man who has been an overseer and managed and mentored and trained many professional project managers within the corporate world. He is a natural born leader.  His innate temperament is extraordinary, flexible and resilient. He is able to relate to a plethora of cultures, ages and diverse personalities. This is true if you are saved or unsaved. He can engage one on one or to a multitude on a multiplicity of spiritual and intellectual levels. But most important, he is a humble yet very strong Man of God. He can steadfastly exegete, teach, proclaim, expound, rebuke  and stand upon GOD’S WORD without compromise. He has indeed accomplished much to make this world a better place to live in for many.

He is the love of my life!

Together we daily welcome the presence of the Lord within our home and our lives. Our children are now adults. They are now establishing their own homes. Our love continues to grow and flourish. We do not take the Lord for granted. Nor do we take one another for granted. We are thankful for the “ONESSNESS” WE HAVE N THE LORD!  As the WORD says; “PRAISE GOD from whom all BLESSINGS FLOW…” THANK YOU LORD!

Life is so much more precious when you share it with someone you are on one accord with. In a consecrated marriage you love, respect, admire, enjoy & trust one another without question. Precious endless memories abound. Yet, life is full of mountain top and valley experiences. Henceforth we have together learned to major in its joys and minor in its sorrows. To soar and trust God in sickness and in health and the valley or upon the mountaintops.

TRULY GOD IS GOOD ALL the time! I Thank the LORD for there has certainly been much less times in the valley…  There has been numerous mountain top experiences that we will forever cherish.  We are thankful for the life we  have in the Lord.  I THANK the LORD for teaching us how to work together to bring up our children in a home of love, patience, understanding & peace.  To also work together in ministry and business. The Lord’s presence is evident for; “Where two or three are gathered together in my name I am in the midst…” Matthew 18

“I always say: ” I LIVE BEFORE AN AUDIENCE OF ONE!”

WHAT GOD KNOWS ABOUT US IS WHAT MATTERS MOST!

WHEN YOU TRULY LIVE FOR THE LORD; YOUR REPUTATION IS ALWAYS SAFE WITH HIM! FOR THERE IS NOTHING EVER HIDDEN TO HIM!

Together we have experienced “PERFECTION in the LORD” which simply means to be COMPLETE in HIM. We are forever growing in HIS grace as long as HE has us on this side of Heaven.  The beauty about GOD is HE KNOWS EXACTLY where you are coming from. For in times likes these we need A SAVIOR! I can not imagine life without our LORD to HIM we give the GLORY!

Life with God is precious!  CHRIST JESUS IS OUR BEST WITNESS.

I BELIEVE that each & every day is a precious GIFT from the Lord. Know HIS WORD for yourself because; ALL HIS WORD IS TRUE! What is so precious about the Lord is “He is not a respecter of persons…” James 2 Take delight in the Lord be patient because in HIS time, “HE will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37 That are in HIS WILL for you…

The Lord is always there to help us. We in turn need to just reach out, submit and trust HIM! For: “I will look to the hills from which comes my HELP. My HELP comes from the LORD. “ Psalm 121 I am thankful of the Lord’s presence in our lives. He is our Rock, Refuge and strong foundation.

We are to be “As wise as a serpent, yet as harmless as a dove.” Matthew 10 Always keep in mind GOD knows our thoughts motives and intentions. So don’t allow bitterness or regrets to take root, time is too precious and you do not want to waste a lot of it in regrets.  Learn to be content knowing that GOD is omniscient! Take some time daily  & draw closer to the LORD for HE WILL teach you how to “guard your heart” with diligence. Psalm 3

In closing;
Women respect your husbands. Husbands respect your wives. Love one another fervently. Single men & women seek the Lord’s direction if you desire a spouse. Hide the Word of God daily within your hearts. You must learn to give up “Me”ness for “We”ness! A great marriage is possible but it takes, love,  dedication, discipline, faithfulness, longsuffering, prayer, sacrifice, unselfishness, work & responsibility. Furthermore marriage is about mutual team work apart or together. Therefore, be willing to give and give in love. Don’t take one another for granted. Learn to be thankful for the time you share with one another.

Your marriage should be a reflection of your LOVE for GOD!

Truly the LORD is my/our Shepherd! We are living in an ever changing world that continues to move further and further away from His principles! Know this; Marriage God’s Way Works! Keep God as the Center of your marriage. There are those who will do and say just about anything… There are those who will try to undermine your integrity. Do not fear or be discouraged, instead TRUST GOD, for HE WILL; “lead you in the Path of Righteousness for HIS Namesake…” Psalm 23 Honor God in your marriage, in your daily life and within your home. PRAY for DISCERNMENT! Stay connected & “PRAY without ceasing” all throughout your day.

TRULY GOD IS FAITHFUL! THANK YOU LORD for my Pastor husband the father of our Children. I Love You through ETERNITY. ~ Today & everyday; HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! ~

Why All The Hoopla About “VALENTINE’S DAY!”

There is much Hoopla about Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is legendarily known for being the most romantic day of the year. Wow! This is a Day that couples desire to wonderfully express and celebrate their love for one another. This day of love is now further extended and expressed in many different ways between friends, families, classmates, teachers, co workers and many more…

It is a great and marvelous day to annually commemorate your union of “the two becoming one.” Marriage was designed to be a loving, spiritual, committed and  pleasurable fulfilling experience.

A little history about Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is said to have originated from amongst the ancient chronicles of ancient Roman history within the early Christian Church. Not all agree; some believe its origin is that of a pagan nature … However this narrative goes as such;

Once upon a time, years ago somewhere in and about the 3rd century AD., many couples who were in love were forbidden to marry. It is said that Emperor Claudius II who was an austere, ambitious and controlling ruler requiring vast armies of men denied them the privilege to marry. He trained his soldiers well yet brutally. He was a hard taskmaster. The soldiers had to be on the road for long extended periods of times and he did not want them engaging in sexual intercourse. This left the lonesome lot of soldiers homesick and half-hearted… Still, the Emperor felt it drained the soldier’s strength and interfered with his goal for them to be victorious on the battle field. So he subsequently banned marriages altogether.

But one bold, compassionate, defiant priest in Rome named Father Valentine did not agree. He thought that the Emperor Claudius II was unjust and unyielding in this belief. He heroically came to the aid of many couples and secretly married the young lovers anyway. Well, when the furious Emperor got wind of what was happening he was livid and he had him beaten with clubs and arrested. It is alleged that the Emperor himself began to grow fond of Father Valentine. He came to really like him.

Father Valentine eventually tried to no avail to convert the Emperor. In turn the Emperor wanted and attempted unsuccessfully to make Father Valentine renounce his Faith. They reached an impasse in their relationship. Father Valentine remained incarcerated and was eventually sentenced to death.

It is believed that the secretly wedded blissful couples that Father Valentine had married were so very thankful. Filled with elated gratitude they clandestinely visited the imprisoned priest. No doubt that they had pledged their love for one another but for Father Valentine as well. With thankful hearts filled with gratefulness and appreciation they surreptitiously brought him gifts, flowers and notes of gratitude. The couples would secretly pass the notes to him through the bars of his cell.

Father Valentine himself being loving, kindhearted, caring and compassionate supposedly too fell in love. How ironic for it was with the jailer’s daughter. Some say she was blind and he healed her… On the day of the condemned Father Valentine’s execution of February 14th around 269, he wrote her a note confessing his love for her and signed it “from your Valentine.” He however was still beheaded and martyred. From here amongst the varied accounts originates our tradition of “Valentine’s Day.”

Millions Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Today in this modern 21st century “Valentine’s Day” is one of the most celebrated days on the calendar. It has been festively celebrated by billions of people ever since the days of Father Valentine.

Here in our beautiful country of America alone over 180,000,000 people celebrate by purchasing and showering roses upon their loved ones. Red is the most often selected color. It is a most prosperous day for retailers! Over 36,000,000 heart-shaped boxes of candy and chocolates as well as thousands of diamonds, dinners, cards and other gifts ranging from extravagant to simple in lavish expenditures collectively totaling billions of dollars are purchased.

Hershey the infamous chocolate maker employs 13,000 employees. Located in Hershey, Pennsylvania they make over $5,000,000,000 in revenue per year. They use over 600, 000,000 million pounds of chocolate per year as well as using over 200,000,000 million pounds of nuts and 700,000,000 million pounds of milk and an exorbitant ridiculously extravagant amount of sugar! Hershey Inc. vast quantities of chocolate is made from cocoa plants from all around the world.

Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate LOVE!

When couples are in love it is both emotional and physical! The brain produces a neurotransmitter called dopamine. It is a natural stimulant that carries messages from nerve cells to other nerve cell muscles. It is sent to many brain regions creating intense feelings often associated with romantic love. There are also physiological responses that occur by another closely related neurotransmitter called norepinephrine that often creates and intense craving… This explains why kissing for some can be intense because the hormone testosterone is passed between the two when kissing. Hopefully this explains why some can tend to be a bit irrational initially when in love. Love is wonderful when properly and lovingly expressed.

There is much more to Love than the physical. In a good nurturing healthy marriage; respect, care, loyalty and concern are evident components. Many are committed to many other things and their marriage is secondary. You want to take time to really get to know this person who you have committed to love. You both made not only a commitment to your spouse but you both made a vow to the LORD or did you? Remember this all throughout the year and not only on Valentine’s Day.

Marriage is sacred in the eyes of GOD

When you truly embrace His principles of Love within your marriage you both will experience an ever-increasing fulfilling union. God is Omnipresent meaning; He is absolutely everywhere. Invite Him into every area of your marriage and everyday life. God is Omniscient meaning; He is totally cognizant of all things and  knows everything. Remember it is He that has created us. He is the creator and originator and knows what is necessary to have a great marriage. It is always your choice to allow Him HIs place within your life.  It is important to keep GOD in the Center of your marriage. If you have not it is never too late to start… I assure you, you both will be or become a lot happier.

Suggestions to celebrate Valentine’s Day

There are many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a couple. Here are a few suggestions:

GOD defines LOVE in HIS WORD

When you SAY that you LOVE someone here are some things to KEEP in mind! Here the TRUE meaning of LOVE is defined.

Love is best described herein I Corinthians 13: “LOVE is patient, Love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. LOVE does not delight in evil, but REJOICES in TRUTH. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. LOVE NEVER FAILS…”

Remember this; “GOD IS LOVE!” and His Love lasts through eternity! God Bless You Both. ENJOY & CELEBRATE the one you Love! Seek out ways to encourage more and complain less.  Stay committed to your vows you made to God and to one another.  Keep God in the Center of your marriage.

Always remember; “Love is patient, Love is kind, Love is felt most when it is GENUINE!”

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

The GREATEST GIFT That Was Ever Given – His Name Is Jesus

The GREATEST GIFT That Was Ever Given
HIS Name is JESUS

Over 2,000 years ago God sent His Son into the world that we might be saved and not condemned. On the profession of our FAITH we are accepted into His Family and become children of God. The Child in the manger has been recognized as The Traditional Christmas scene down through the ages. It is much more than a tradition it is a True story! As you Celebrate Christmas with your family, friends and loved ones with your plethora of family Traditions; I would like to take a few minutes to share “The Chronicle of Our Lord and Savior!”

“FOR unto us a CHILD is born, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon HIS shoulder: and HIS name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9

“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you; BLESSED are you among women!” But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her. “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His Father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob FOREVER. And of His kingdom there will be no end…….

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David. Which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to registered with Mary his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Now there was in the same country shepherds out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, and angel of the Lord said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of GREAT JOY which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is CHRIST the LORD. And this will be the sign to you : You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths in a manger. And suddenly there was an angel a multitude of the heavenly host PRAISING GOD and saying; GLORY to God in the highest, And on earth PEACE , GOODWILL toward men!

So it was when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when then they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning the child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and PRAISING GOD for ALL the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told to them.

And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called JESUS, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb…

This is the greatest event that ever happened in the history of the world! So much so that a choir of Angels sang and the sky was lit with a brilliant STAR! “JESUS is the Bright and Morning Star” He wants to Light your heart and give you purpose and meaning in your life! CHRISTMAS IS WHEN WE CELEBRATE “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” TO JESUS! Jesus lived an amazing sinless life to conquer sin in the flesh for us! So we would not be condemned but saved. He was crucified a shameful death on the CROSS, died for us and then after three days in the grave HE arose victoriously with ALL power! When you accept Him into your heart you become God’s child and His precious Holy Spirit comes to live within you and your body becomes a Temple. You are then given the gift of Eternal Life! Jesus then becomes your Messiah, Savior and Lord! Jesus is the GREATEST GIFT that was ever given! JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON! Have a wonderfully, MARVELOUSLY Blessed MERRY CHRISTMAS and a JOYFULLY Blessed NEW YEAR!!! “GLORY TO GOD in the HIGHEST and on earth PEACE to men on whom HIS FAVOR rests….” (St. Luke }

How To Overcome Bitterness – WHAT’s EATING YOU?

Apple tree

WHAT’S EATING YOU?

Is there something that is bothering you? Something that you can’t talk about? Has someone hurt you that you can’t forgive? Have someone said something to you that you can’t shake loose? Has someone taken something away from you; or wronged you in some way? Do you crave acceptance? Do you feel rejected? Are you, impatient, frustrated, fed up, and just plain angry? Does the slightest little thing set you off? What’s eating you? Whatever the case don’t let it continue to hold you a prisoner. If you don’t do something about it, you will only allow the seed of bitterness to become rooted and develop deep within. Slowly but surely it will cultivate and grow! Think for a moment the chances are great that whoever has wronged you has probably moved on and not even given the matter a second thought. However you are stuck.

Each time you dwell on whatever it is without letting go, it grows. The longer you hold on to it, it will slowly but surely begin to eat you from the inside out. Unattended it will cause you to become depressed, physically ill, have much anxiety, panic attacks or migraine headaches! The end of possibilities goes on… When you allow whatever it is that is bothering you to grow, fester and internally aggravate you, it will eventually make you bitter. It will continue to impact you, your marriage, your friendships as well as your working relationships. What’s eating you? Although you have tucked it away for no one to see. Pushed it to the back of your mind only to silently gnaw away at your joy. As each year passes it is still there. The bitterness surfacing from time to time like a virus. The slightest little thing will trigger it. Someone will be able to push your button like pushing a remote control and set you off! You in turn loose control and react.

Did you know how the worm gets into the apple? Did you think it gets in from the outside in? Well it doesn’t! It has scientifically been proven. What happens is an insect actually lays an egg on the apple’s blossom. At some point the egg then hatches within the apple. As it grows, it eat eats away the apple and burrows its way to the outside! When you allow bitterness to nest, it like the worm begins to grow and erode the fiber of your being; it will eat away your happiness and inside it will grow and tunnel its way out and manifest itself as sin!

TRULY GOD IS GOOD!

How do you stop what’s eating you from eating away at the core of your being? Periodically take a personal inventory. First keep in mind you cannot undo what has been done! Allow whatever has been sitting in the warehouse of your mind, to come to the forefront. As anything resurfaces hold it up to the Light of God’s Word! Meditate on the Word of God it is a Library of Wisdom. By the way you can read all day long but if you don’t implement it, then its just mere words. Ask the Lord to help you and open up your understanding. Begin to acknowledge any ill will or bad feelings you are having. Move towards letting go of the pain by; forgiving the offense, the offender, and forgiving the deed. By the way forgiving does not mean forgetting unless you have amnesia. It does mean that you give up the resentment. Resentment means to feel the pain of the action over and over again. When you hold on to the resentment it too turns to bitterness, that only continues to further hurt you. You must surrender your right to get even. Allowing any anger to slowly come to the surface helps you gain self control, you can then rise above it.

GOD REALLY WANTS YOU TO BE HAPPY!

By letting go of what’s eating you, you begin to strengthen and discipline yourself from continuing to let it hurt you, now you are beginning to move towards healing. Confess and admit it. Your feelings need to be validated. Accept responsibility for whatever it is by acknowledging it for whatever it is. Check yourself. Police yourself. When you find yourself going in the wrong direction or acting out in a way that is not right, don’t allow pride keep you in bondage. God does have a purpose and a path for your life. Now allow yourself to be put on the potter’s wheel to mold you and shape you into a usable “vessel of honor” for His Glory. God really does have a better way. The Word of God is so powerful! You can be “transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

YOU REALLY CAN BE HAPPY IT’S YOUR CHOICE!

Once you admit that life is difficult it becomes easier. Sin is pervasive and has taken root in this world we live. So many things have become greatly impacted. This only further nurtures any bitterness you are harboring. Don’t be deceived! Yes! Anything goes. Acceptance often becoming an Enabler; Tolerance often has been labeled Unconditional Love. TRUTH more and more has been pushed to the background. The LOVE of GOD misconstrued. Lord Help Us! Sin is anything that separates you from God. Like the worm in the apple sin begins to grow and works its way out.

All too often only part of the truth is told to receive sympathy or to be accepted. Some will literally help you to death. It is sad that many do not seek to really want to resolve inner or outer conflict. But seek a support to justify irresponsibility. It is important to know that this will not to lead to freedom. These last days the Word talks about is now. This is why we have some of everything happening inside and outside of God’s Church.

Jesus said that this would happen. But don’t be alarmed. Praise God, this only further proves His Word is TRUE. You can not really transform your mind apart from the Lord. Remember if you give credit where it is due. Then you know He made the mind. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” God’s Word can renew and wash your mind when you sincerely embrace His principles and hold them dear to your heart.

What’s eating You? Do you want to experience the transforming power of His Word? Believing, knowing and implementing His Word is key. Bitterness, will not be able to stay rooted or if it has it will have to go. Ask the Lord to “Create in you a clean heart and renew the right Spirit within you.” As the Holy Spirit within you is activated it will cleanse you from the inside out. Each day as you invite His infilling PRESENCE within you to fill you, you can become transformed from the inside out!

This is not a manufactured peace that is displayed just for others. It is a genuine inner contentment that is from the Lord. The reassurance of His omnipresence brings much comfort. You are inwardly provoked to be inwardly transformed rather than to outwardly conform.

The Fruit of His Spirit then begins to take root instead. “But the Fruit of HIS SPIRIT is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control!” Your actions, words, thoughts and emotions can be transformed.

It is important that you regularly spend time with the Lord in His Word. Attending Bible Study is a good idea, especially if you don’t regularly spend time on your own in the Word. It is important to know that the Word of God is necessary Spiritual Food for your soul and you need to eat often. It is just or more so important than your regular meals. You should really make a point to daily spend time with the Lord in His Word. His Word is Alive and it imparts life. Don’t just read for quantity but to actually yield a greater spiritual understanding of who the Lord is. You should strive to learn how to embrace and implement what you are learning within your daily life. You will become spiritually strengthened and better able to release any bitterness as you actually digest His Word. God wants to be a part of every area of your life. It is true; “He will never leave nor forsake You!”

Life becomes a marvelous journey when you allow the Lord to lead you. You really can overcome anything with the Lord when you make happiness your choice. “GREATER IS HE that is in you than he that is in the world.” Believe God and His Word! Make happiness your goal. This transformation process is lifelong. But with Jesus Christ as your personal Savior & Lord you have all the time you need. God is everywhere that we are. He has given us His comforter to lead you to ALL TRUTH. He wants you to have a joyful, fulfilling, happy contented God centered life in every way. Always remember; You can call upon the Lord anywhere at anytime, in any and every situation. Worry, less and PRAY more release any bitterness and embrace your happiness!

True Beauty Comes From Within Part 1

TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN

True beauty emanates from deep within your soul. You are able to age gracefully as you draw from its reservoir.  It is not at all superficial.  True inner beauty is not  based upon your size,  shape or physical features. Your inner beauty is  comprised of a multiplicity of   layers  that are not always readily apparent.  This  goes far beyond the epidermis yet at times remains reflective upon your countenance.

Nourish Your soul

Daily begin to embrace the Word of God.  It spiritually enriches and nourishes us in a marvelous way.  It magnificently  will replenish your soul. It is bursting with a wealth of wisdom that will make your heart glow.  It is necessary spiritual food for our mind, body and soul. Your soul is the essence of who you really are.  It lives forever. God is the giver and sustainer of life.   There is much contentment to be gained in continuing to develop  an ongoing growing   relationship with the Lord.  This reassures us of life eternally with him.

Each of us has been given a unique inborn temperament by God. Our personality is composed of the various experiences we encounter in life.  It  begins to develop in infancy. It is also a covering for your soul.

“GOD is LOVE!”

God’s Love is steadfast and genuine. When properly nurtured His love becomes deeply embedded into the fabric of who we are. We each have been created by God for a purpose. It is important to make it a daily priority to get to know our Creator on a personal level. It is within an up close intimate relationship with him we grow spiritually in His grace.

I truly understand more each day why the Lord tells us to “hide His Word within our hearts, so we might not sin against Him… Only God can see into our hearts! “Man looks on the outside. But God looks at the heart.” As believers His Holy Spirit resides within us. It is utterly amazing that He knows each and everyone of us totally from the inside out.

We are all transparent to the Lord. There is nothing that is hidden to him. Sin is anything that separates us from God. It is in our best interest to readily “REPENT” of any sin so we can stay connected to the Lord.

Life brings about a plethora of varied experiences.  Some can be quite difficult; some which are good others not so good. Yet there are those  that are just  simply incredible! Life is about learning how to grow through them all.  Going through the various experiences we can learn to  sin less.  However, you must begin to exercise self control. To respond patiently rather than react impulsively.   What you practice you become. We should want to always remain connected to the Lord. It is in Him we can have His deep abiding peace.

The Blessings of the Word of God

“Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His statues and seek Him with ALL their heart.” Blessed means to be happy and consecrated by God. God did not intend for His Word to just become mere letters on a papyrus (paper). He meant for it to become ALIVE within our soul to feed us and nourish us spiritually and emotionally so we can daily walk in His precepts. To help us go through whatever life presents to us, Blessed! One can then say Hallelujah Anyhow! The JOY of the Lord remains with us when we allow HIM to be our strength.

It is often said “What comes from the heart goes to the heart.” Many quote this as Scripture. Yet, this actually is  not a scripture. This infamous   quote was given to us by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. There is a heartfelt sincerity when one speaks from the wellspring of their heart. This is why it is so memorable.  It is important that we learn how to guard our hearts.

A strong fervent prayer life is important

“Our FATHER, Give us today our daily bread…”

Knowing God intimately makes all the difference in the world. The sooner you start the better. Tomorrow is not promised therefore we do not know what a day may bring. Your relationship with the Lord will help immensely in later years. It will preserve you and help keep your soul refreshed and renewed.

Knowing and believing the fact that God is Omnipresent and always with you is a precious TRUTH. When you fully embrace this you won’t feel lonely even when you are alone. It is important to have our priorities right. We can emerge triumphantly and rise above whatever has happened, is happening or will happen.

It is through the many experiences we encounter in life we grow. How well we fair through those experiences can help strengthen us an build our character. Some experiences can be difficult. It is important that we are not embittered by those experiences. When things are unpleasant we must learn to face them responsibly. This is how we build character. Yes, there are times in life that we will encounter difficult people.
